new ability idea - fithos - 2008-08-10 hello, i would speak an ability who could be funny. The ability named like you want unequipe all weapons of the tank focused. All weapons go on the flour like if the player have put himself. I think it could be funny because and interesting, the couldown of this ability have to be long maybe like an ultimate. the range have to be very short. i think it can be a good ability for next new tank (if there will have one). Is this the kind of thing you're thinking of? Pickpocket (Ultimate): Randomly removes a certain number of items from the targeted tank. Lvl 1: 1 item, 40 mana cost Lvl 2: 2 items, 50 mana cost Lvl 3: 2 items, 60 mana cost, reduced cooldown Lvl 4: 3 items, 70 mana cost Lvl 5: 3 items, 80 mana cost, reduced cooldown But this is just a suggestion with pretty much random numbers based on what I could gleam from your original post. It's your idea after all Re: new ability idea - k-bones - 2008-08-11 This ability would bring you lots of complaint posts like "F%$$# that F**@(# lucker n00b item steal!" (imagine that with sharing enabled) Maybe make it 3-use item, cost 4-5k or so. That would be a nice addition in base defending (trap their items behind your lines), which now is pretty hard as the enemy can get 3 facs and you can build only outside, thus making them vulnerable. Btw, what about a bomb breaker item? I played one or two games in which my team held the enemy back for a long long time, and then it all went sh*t because they finally bombed us. -.- Cv or no cv, succesful base defend is a rare thing (if your teammate is not a map-cruising "look, i own them all alone" noob). You can't even sneak out to get a good tank or weapon. If you even manage to do that, you most probably die, which gives your enemy 30 seconds to smash the base. Maybe 2 items, but increasing range, and shorter casting time. Maybe disarming of a tank should take 1 till 1.5 seconds of casting time (or even more for level 1 skill) , so I think no one complaint about droping 2 items because the enemy need some time and can be interrupted by stun - and maybe the range is not too big. if it takes 1.5 seconds to disarm it shouldnt be melee or nearly melee Range. What I see is a new strategy to attck towers. If you can make that ability drop towermodules or rocket hails I think its also usable againgst TD Tinkers. Once you learn there is such ability, you will get your weapons too fast... Or tinker will put new modules... And also share mode issue... Abilty name: Sticky Loads When used on a tank, it puts 2 useless inventory slot-holder for 1.2 sec per level. Sticky loads always hold a random non-empty slot if possible. Range: 800. Cooldown: 40 seconds.
