the trader offers a great mechanic to a game which is what the ranked games need. i patition to have the trader brought back in.

I have fuzzy feeling. I'd like to see it, but on the other hand i can imagine all noobs wasting slot by playing trader bad and feeding. So actually beeing a trader for other team;)

No, simply put I'm convinced a passive trading player is role that is completely impossible to balance. Trader will either create a situation in which it is so powerful a team with a trader will automatically win, or a situation in which it is so weak and unhelpful that the team with it will automatically lose (this of course is assuming that the skill levels of both teams are moderately equal). There is no inbeetween in these two situations, and since we do not want to create a situation in which a trader is mandatory role or a waste of a player, so I'd rather not see it in league.
