CP defense - The.Troll - 2012-03-13 I read another suggestion where someone wanted to make the CP's capturable in order. I definitely do NOT like the idea but it got me thinking about the CP with Bennies comment about defending it indefinitely. To add some interesting aspects to the game with some fun visuals, here's something you all may find kind of fun. Make some type of "shield dome" available for purchase at the cp's. Here's how it would work: Purchase "shiled dome". A transparent dome literally encompasses an area by say, 1000 range. Enough to cover the CP, tower and a little bit of room around it. It lasts 2.5 minutes with a cool down of 5 minutes. While up, it prevents enemy tanks from passing through. Essentially keeping them away from the CP. Now, lets say they enter the area to capture a cp, build a beacon to allow team mates to tp in. At the same time the other team TP's in and builds the "shield dome". The result: enemies can still tp in and out but can't pass through the dome physically unless they have their own teleport ability (including Earth Robots "dust ability" and Inferno's TP ability). I think it would be hilarious to see an epic battle within the dome. It would certainly change the strat of capturing a CP just as adding the beacon changed the strat. Blocking enemy tanks from even closing cp is a unbalanced idea imo. RE: CP defense - gozo1985 - 2012-03-14 yeah blocking driving/flying tanks by force when they to do something offensively is never a good idea. what i really like is the idea to build some more denfsive structures then just 1 is it possible to add 1 more ruins to each cp which are "empty" at start and like at the back? so they dont attack passing creeps but helping defend cp? if you build a tower there.
