why don't just use Logitech G11 keyboard? It only costs 35€!
and it has all in all 54 individual keys. thats much more than G15, i don't know why anybody should buy G15(except WoW-players, there are some more functions for them i think)

but velo is right there is no need for a freezetime anymore.
-rc and -zoom can be typed in by porting

if there should be a freeze time it should not last more than 10-15 seconds.
