Yep that's right. There are actually about 5 aussie servers, but only that one's really used by a fair amount of people. When warcraft first came out PVPGN emulation was poor and i had to play on a taiwanese server. Now there are servers all over the world.

1: You need a loader (w3l)
2: You can edit the registry, use a 'bnet gateway editor" (sometimes packed with trojans), or use a pre-made registry file
