What mode: Normal or High Bounty
What your tank build is: You can of course keep going up until you get Titan - however, my general strategy for mid-game is having a Ghost Tank with reinforcements and speed (and hull at some point) along with: 2 Lightning magics, then go for Psycho magics, then Photon Torpedos, etc. I don't replace my dear Ghost Tank until Inferno in most cases, though I might switch to Demon if something requires it.
Why is it effective? - Distracts enemy, good damage, hard to catch. My favorite tactic against short-ranged guys when I try to capture a CP is to build a barricade near the enemy CP, spawn the units, then move away. When enemy appears, they can't do much to me and if they move towards me the barricade captures it.
What strategies it counters against? - It's good against pretty much anything. I usually get a bit ahead of everyone else, so.. yeah.
Weaknesses? - Well, hail sky tanks are annoying, but not hard.. teleport near them, spawn units and keep following them.
