The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 sequel to "Zukunft der BT-Liga" Quote:the question is if the current system has a chance to get used or not, if not, if another system has a chance... Re: The Future of the BT League - TKF - 2007-09-14 Sending screenshots for every league game? Isn't the code you get at end of matches enough? Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 with the current system it is, but now u need this password to start the match :/ with this system you cant start a spontaneous match in bnet... first u need to go to the website and write down your pw... if the code is fully integrated in the map, it is easy to hack it... happend with the first league system but zipped screenshots have only a few kb size, with 7-zip u can zip them to 6kb, with the winxp-own zip program to 7kb .... __edit: and, if u want a code, all registered playes need to be saved in the map, that sucks because then we have to update it once a week... Re: The Future of the BT League - TKF - 2007-09-14 If I understand this correctly, you must login and get your password at btanks.de - then if you play a league game on b.net, and at the end of the game, you have to save a screenshot? So this is the current system. And I've never heard of the -start command Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 hehe no, Quote:you must login and get your password at btanks.de - then if you play a league game on b.net,this is the current system Quote:and at the end of the game, you have to save a screenshot?this will be the new system, but without the passwort at start! Re: The Future of the BT League - TKF - 2007-09-14 lol I totally misunderstood the vote, as there was 2 choices. I thought the old liga system was the one before, not the current liga system. Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 lol sry ^^ so one more for the new system? Re: The Future of the BT League - TKF - 2007-09-14 I thought the vote was about choosing the old simple liga system OR choosing the one you suggested. Sucky google translate didn't make it clear, so I thought the current liga system was out of option. When you say old liga system, it obvious your talking about the old liga system, not the current system. Re: The Future of the BT League - Vomitus - 2007-09-14 May be I am a bit out of subject but is there any possibility to run Liga on pvpgn server? Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 if you have a valid Battle.net account, yes Re: The Future of the BT League - Batto - 2007-09-14 Well i think the current system isnt that bad ! My questions about the screenshot-system are: - isnt that too hard for total pc noobs (zipping etc.) ? - isnt it easy to corrupt by photoshopping your screenshot? Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 right click -> send to -> zip folder ... everybody should can do that xD and yes, you can corrupt screens with photoshop, but it is hard to do it such good, that you cant see the edited things. furthermore we'll request replays for every match where something is wrong... Re: The Future of the BT League - Batto - 2007-09-14 Ok , then i have to save all replays But yeah, seems pretty easy, so it would work like: *game starts I type: Code: -league at the end, i make a screenshot as fast as i can. If something is still wrong, pls tell me! BTW: how does the league system on the "great" dota game work? Anyone knows? Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 1. game starts, you type "-ranked" 2. you play 3. game ends and the map will show a few information about the game. you'll make a screenshot of this information 4. you go to the website and upload the screen (first zip it), enter the users nicknames and submit the match thats all Quote:BTW: how does the league system on the "great" dota game work? Anyone knows?there you have to go in a "waiting room" on the website, but battle tanks has not enough players for this system Re: The Future of the BT League - Batto - 2007-09-14 Maybe one more problem, if i am wrong, then i am completely in favor of this system: - if game has ended, but the host leaves quickly, you cant make a screenshot anymore! My possible own solution: make screenshot of last possible screen of the replay? But maybe that doesnt show enough information? Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-14 if you cant make a screenshot, you still have the replay... but you're right... hmm :/ Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-18 Batto Wrote:Maybe one more problem, if i am wrong, then i am completely in favor of this system: but that problem have alle systems... so its not argument for/against the screen-shot idea... Re: The Future of the BT League - TKF - 2007-09-18 Screenshots are quite foolproof and everyone can participate. This is the only good solution to make a good and stable liga system. The current system has a fatal weakness, it's a submit system with codes, where the codes tells the info. If you implements codes into a map, it is always vulnerable for being decoded and abused. And history will repeat again... Re: The Future of the BT League - psycho_dmr - 2007-09-18 yep, we have only one problem atm... I and l if anybody can play a ranked game w/o registration on website, it is hard to see if the nick was 0ll0 (null - lil L - lil L- null) or OIIO (big O, big i, big i, big O) :/ Re: The Future of the BT League - TKF - 2007-09-18 Well for a dota league game, there must me a referee ingame (observer) and your team has to be signed on a web site up before a league game can start. That what I've heard about it. |
