Re: Earthrobot - pls buff it somehow - Althend - 2009-03-27 qweqqweq Wrote:so you're saying that hit points multiplyer = 100/(100-x) where x = damage reduction? where'd u get that formula from? That's really weird and counter-intuitive, can you please explain how that works for those of us who are retarded? Imagine total amount of hp= 100 Enemy does 10 damage per hit. He needs 10 hit to kill the tank. If the tank has x% reduction, each hit does (1-x%)* 10 damage. If x= 0, then the tank must do y *(1-0%)* 10 damage to kill. (y= 10, number of hit) If x= 20% then, the tank must do z* (1-0.2) * 10 damage. What is z? 100 = 10*0,8 *z z = 100/80 = 12.5 hit. (since each hit= 10 damage, a total of 125) So it is the same as if the earth has 125 hp instead of 100. if reduction= 80% 100= 10* (1-0,8) * c c= 50, total of 500 hp. Re: Earthrobot - pls buff it somehow - Princess_Bob - 2009-03-27 I hope my students fair better than this forum with their percent problems Re: Earthrobot - pls buff it somehow - horselance - 2009-03-27 Do not underestimate 25% hp. An example of round numbers around mid game: You have an Earth Robot w/o ressistance, and there is another Earth Robot with ressistance. For Round numbers they both have 10000hp. (they both have iron hulls ) And My Earth Robot have 2 medium lasers. To kill this +25% guy what must you have with same hp? 800*2=1600 dps. 10000/1600=6.25 sec. 12500/6.25=2000dps. You need a 400 extra dps. Means 4800 gold. With Gold hull this difference increases. And with better weapons this difference increases again. Because hp is much profitable then weapon dps. Maybe soon i make a 1 on 1 combat simulator for BT. Re: Earthrobot - pls buff it somehow - qweqqweq - 2009-03-27 Wow, that's interesting lance! Thank you for that very iluminating info. I guess that's part of the reason why i've won around 69/70 of my last games with earth robot. I wonder though, do the equations get even more insanely imbalanced in favor of the tank with armor reduction if it picks up a healing ruin or has repair robots? What if there was a healing factory and a guard with healing aura all helping it? It's almost as if it would be nearly invincible, but that can't really be the case can it? A tank that can't fly and doesn't have a stun must be worthless right? Re: Earthrobot - pls buff it somehow - Tynkywinky - 2009-05-03 it´s a very good defensive tank that is good for conquring of CP´s. And if u get alot feed u will easily hunt air ships down. |
