Trouble with capturing factory - Forve - 2009-10-06 I don't see progress bar capturing a enemy factory. Operation System: Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit Graphic: NVIDIA FeForce 260 GTX (last drivers) Warcraft Russian 1.24b When I had English warcraft I can see progress bar capturing (other device were the same), but I need russian version. Somebody had same problem ? I'm sorry for English I know it badly Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-06 The progress bar of the capturing animation uses this sign -> ||| etc. It may be possible that the russian warcraft or computer does not know that sign. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Althend - 2009-10-07 In my french version, I also dont have it :p Actually I never saw it ^_^ Re: Trouble with capturing factory - LuckyD0g - 2009-10-07 Control Point Bar Got same problem. Screen compatability For my screen the floating text is not visiable. Its becouse the text size is too small, Minimal texd size for my screen is 6.9. Triggers affected: Control Point Init Control Point Mb others. from Code: call SetTextTagTextBJ( udg_Progress_Bar[10 + ID], (udg_Color[13 - OwningTeam] + basic + "|r"), 5.00 ) Code: call SetTextTagTextBJ( udg_Progress_Bar[10 + ID], (udg_Color[13 - OwningTeam] + basic + "|r"), 6.9 ) Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Forve - 2009-10-07 Paladon Thank you very much! Your information is very useful. I downloaded the program "WinMPQ". I opened the file "war3.mpq" (in the directory of Warcraft III) in WinMPQ. I found and deleted the font "FRIZQT__.TTF" (in the file "war3.mpq"). I copied the system font "Arial" (from *\WINDOWS\Fonts) and renamed it to "FRIZQT__.TTF". I added this font into the file "war3.mpq". These manipulations solved the problem. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-07 No problem, i recommend the other ones to do the same ^.^ Re: Trouble with capturing factory - TKF - 2009-10-07 It would be very hard for everyone to download such pack just to get the | | | signs. I think Paladon can fix this issue so it get visible on all languages, I don't know if a big i (I I I) helps replacing the | | | Maybe he can test it? I think the III should be visible on all font packs for warcraft out there. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-07 No. "I" leaves spaces between the letters, "|" does not. It would not look like a bar anymore. I've tried that in a map project from me year(s) ago. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - psycho_dmr - 2009-10-07 maybe just display a timeleft above the bar? so if someone has no bar (imho there is no bar in 800*600, too) there is an info how long it still take to get the cp? Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-07 That's actually a good idea Re: Trouble with capturing factory - TKF - 2009-10-07 Actually | leaves space between letters at certain resolutions. It does so at my laptop with 1440x800 resolution (Don't remember the exact number). Timeleft with the bar is also a good idea. I like the bar, so please don't remove it. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Vomitus - 2009-10-20 Currently progress bar on my display looks like wooden fence with holes larger than sticks. The resolution I am talking about is 2560*1600. Also, when I played on 1440*900 I could not see this progress bar at all which had me to post here a bug even(can't find it now). _Edit: forgot to say, I use English version of WC. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - TKF - 2009-10-20 Well Paladon planned to add a countdown number in addition, so it would probably be useful addition which partially solves the visual problem. Using I I I could solve it, but then it will no longer look like a bar. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-20 The bar looks best at a 1024x768 resolution. That was the standart resolution of the computers at the creation's time (and still is mine). Excessive resolutions (and over 2000 is excessive in my opinion, sorry) can't be supported and will lead to weird appearances. I will however add a countdown timer to the bar. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Vomitus - 2009-10-20 Countdown in digital form as an addition is good, but the bar should remain! I say it. =) Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-20 Yeah, okay. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Vomitus - 2009-10-20 Paladon Wrote:The bar looks best at a 1024x768 resolution. I would be glad to test this(and probably others too) feature in high resolutions. It's good that you pointed that out, i'm sure the time counter will help here. Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Althend - 2009-10-21 I still don't see the bar :p Re: Trouble with capturing factory - Paladon - 2009-10-21 Is 8.66 out? No it is not. [...] That's why the counter will be implented. |
