Change sky fort bombs - Tom-Ace - 2009-09-16
I was thinking that it would be better for the sky fort to have twice as many bombs, and drop two times faster, but do only half as much damage per bomb, what do you think?

A lot of times (for me anyway) the bombs drop to slow and are very hard to aim at any speedy tank, so its just a building attack, or a overload/bomb combo but the comb most of the time leaves you dead do to damage you do to yourself, or the other team mates picking you off.
I was thinking that if it was faster if you could almost carpet bomb a whole area and know for a fact that you can do at least some damage and and get away, almost like a bombing run.
Because as it is right now the first bomb is normaly waisted because it is so slow, it is also very hard to hit runners with low hp with the slow bombs.
The best way i can explain is like this, you have infernal rocks and Laser, both so close to the same but laser will always beat infernal rocks because of its speed, if someone has 100 hp left and you have a laser you dont have to wait 1+ sec for it to fire, unlike the infernal rock that may take to long and get you kiled.
I hope you know what im saying now, and Exodus there is not a better map on wc3 then BT you and bob made the best map there is, great job and have much success and happiness in your lives.

You are wrong. Infernal rocks will beat most of the time because of impact damage (better initial damage) though it will need player skill and infernal rocks has slight less damage.
Till 660 hp laser will have better chance to kill (0.875 sec) but Infernal rocks will have a better chance to kill after 660 hp targets till 1300 hp. Laser has a stucky behavior so all missiles will not fire
, i gave a 7.5% nonfire penalty. And numbers will go on like that...But a better player will know when its missile will fire. So a laser will continously fire and player has no control over this weapon. But infernal hits like hell and you have control over this weapon, you can first-strike enemy via 2 infernal rocks with 2500 damage instantly, and after first strike 2500, numbers will go on as same with laser averagely.
As for Sky Fortress, It will not change anything because you will drop same damage in same time. Maybe it will improve slightly only in condition of death, you will be able to drop one half bomb more, thats it. But it will be less preciese overall..

Well the phönix buff won't reduce the effect of lasers if paladon implement a buff elimination system for the phönix fire buff which ruins for fast fire weapons. 0.01 duration is still ruining and delaying some weaponsfire.
I don't know if the players would notice such a system running in the background.

Sure anyone that has infernal rocks can beat someone with lasers, only if its solo 1v1 with no creeps, because infrocks waist so much damage if you hit a creep.
I have had, and i know everyone who has used two or more infrocks has had all the rocks target one or two creeps and not the enemy tank.
But in a game like BT when the weapons fire at random targets a light tank with 2 lasers, iron hull and 4 creeps can beat a heavy with 3 infrocks and 4 creeps.
Infrocks are the easiest to counter (i guess you never play vs skilled people horselance :wink: ) all you need is troop pack and BAM infrocks are just about useless.
Oh on a totally different subject NETS are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
