i am not sure if it is too over powered, but a weapon that you can click to switch the range back and forth.

Good idea, i voted YES. Kinda surprising that BT has nothing like this since yet...
I'd like to read some concrete ideas.

Important thing is which range modes it will have?
550-1000-1300?
850-900-950-1000?
1000-1001-1002?
