Why i Play Btanks - Drake.Mordred - 2009-09-01

I love watching players break. Theres nothing more enjoyable than seeing an ego crushed. Set a trap act weak and let them talk whatever they want to say and than shut them down completely. Its why i can win SOLO the way i do, without any friends, without any help. The better the player is, the more enjoyable it is to break them. Better players always think they should win and act like they are better than normal players, and when they lose they break very hard.

I also like having as many people against as possible. Wheres the meaning in beating a friend? If it was up to me id fight against the whole world cause that means something. Id put all of you up against me if i could and i can take it.

I personally prefer teamplay. Not the way used to be called "ganging" but real teamplay.
These matches are simply the best. Too bad that some people sometimes need an ego boost by risking the entertainment of the whole game.
The most important thing is not the personal score but the win of the own team.

Team Play is nice when i have people i can "trust" that will get the job done. Ive only met 3 people in my whole time playing online i could trust enough to play with.

~Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much~ <-------- this is a mistake, not only are you motivating your enemies to try harder youre leaving yourself very vulnerable

Re: Why i Play Btanks - Paladon - 2009-09-03

I agree, it happens quite rare except if i play with a few people i'm knowing for the greatest part.

Offtopic:
Concerning the signature, your point of view doesn't apply for the situation of having a real enemy hunting you.
There's always a reason why someone fights somebody.
But you are on the safed side if you simply forgive your enemy. If someone is fighting you, no matter who's representing the correct thoughts or arguments of morale, he'll either forgive you as well or get horribly annoyed if the trouble is caused by simple hate developed by differences concerning someone's and somebody's thoughts or actions.
If someone is your enemy for the sake of annoying you, the possibly rare situation you stated, it won't help, sure. But then this person is certainly in need of somekind of doc and can't be classified as a serious enemy.

Re: Why i Play Btanks - Dr.McNinja - 2009-12-20

Back in the day, losing was very fun. So that I could make an epic comeback and win. Especially true when playing against friends, where I get a shit team. But then i started teaching them to play better, and they copy a lot of the things i did so beating them became a lot harder :\

Re: Why i Play Btanks - qweqqweq - 2009-12-21

for me when a pro starts talking shit it's nothing. breaking people is nothing. if they really got an ego then crushing it comes whether u want to or not if u outplay them. pretending to have an ego when u don't and pretending to care when u don't, that's true gamesemanship. i'm with paladon on the teamwork thing. winning is everything. after that everything else is just a sub part for me. I see guys who come into the game thinking i got some kind of ego or concentration limit and want to test me and see if they can break me in any way. That's fine with me. they only keep me in shape. i wish there were more guys who thought like that. it would help to keep me from getting bored and sloppy.

sometimes to bridge the gap between two individual players might be like the gap between heaven and earth. and sometimes that's very tough for some people to accept. We've all been there. the difference between the ones who break and the ones who don't is that they see how to make a bridge for themselves over the gap. living in the moment. living completely in the moment. it's like time almost stops sometimes when i'm really in the zone. It's like i see everything played out before it happens and all i'm doing is watching a movie and enjoying myself. I feel like a commentator on my own play sometimes as i'm playing since the instinct can't be shut off when i know it's right. it's like the tank pilot does it all himself with a little bit of telepathic guidance and awareness tips for him.

The things that are related to this discussion in my mind that i don't like are:

1. planted feeders and stacked teams (it's not enough to stack a team, but also putting a buddy of yours on their team to make sure they loose)
2. voting -no for an enemy team's feeder.

If there were like 10 bots like annabot that all had virtually no admins and could keep stats and leaver percentages of players and safelisted the players with the best stats and banned the players with the worst stats and if they could also use the stats to try to randomly even the teams before the game by dividing up the best players like a draft for each team before the game that might be the coolest thing i've seen in a while.

Maybe don't allow guys with over 75% leaver percentage in my games or with more than a 4 deaths to 1 kill ratio either?

Re: Why i Play Btanks - qweqqweq - 2009-12-22

and just for the record, i'd like to play more games with all 3 of u who posted on this topic so far. or anyone else like these guys.

clan bt in lordaeron is for real players as far as i'm concerned. anyone who's interested in playing fun serious games. since too much silliness is tough to tolerate. the winners don't matter so long as we all learn something important.

there's no need to come to my clan or even lordaeron to play me though. Me and some of those like me are mutually friended to annabot and clan-btow-fm bots. i highly encourage anyone who really loves the map to get mutually friended to those bots too and either adapt to the current play styles or force us to adapt to yours. Smile

what's a fun game vs a serious game:

i don't care. if i want to have fun and/or be serious it's no one else's business but who's on my team. we choose the level. but league, that's another story. won't some one come challenge me?

Re: Why i Play Btanks - Althend - 2009-12-22

All games are fun, idiot player just piss me offBig Grin (but Bennie dont piss me off hahaha)

Personally I love the game for its dynamic gameplay. Contrary to other map in War3, there is not "real trick/tips" to win (in normal), just adapt yourself and play.

Re: Why i Play Btanks - VuDu - 2009-12-22

I like the game because of the gameplay it's original idea and balanced and i like building bases with the tinker the most it's like defending something else not only cp , base , tank etc. I kill noobs easy with it and the most fun is with friends all tinkers just bigger base i protect it with repair-robots and death magicsSmile but i cant upload a tga file to show you Sad

and so the great newbcake returns; undefeated, untarnished, unbeatable, unbearable. prepare yourself for a premeditated rape
