Conserve Inventory Order - GooglyBoogly - 2009-05-16
Currently, when a tank dies the inventory order is reset, which can be rather annoying if you like to have certain items in specific slots tied to hotkeys.
I, myself like to use the numpad 1 for my teleport ability, and unless my inventory is already at 5 or 6 items, whevever I die it will get moved back to a different slot, and I have to change the order every time I resurrect.
Now I know I am not the only player with this problem, so I would like to see a system where your Inventory order is conserved so that when you res it is the same as it was before death, and NOT reset.

Currently the inventory fills up 5,6,3,4,1,2
Since I like to have teleport tied to 1, let's say I buy it as my 3rd item - normally this would place it in slot 3, but I move it to slot one, so that slots 5,4 and 1 are filled. Now If I die, the inventory order will be reset again so that slots 5,6 and 3 are filled and I need to move the teleport back to slot 1 again.

i agree. having my items reorderd is annoying especially since i use hotkeys to activate them.

It also screws up the weapon sync. If we could let the dummy units holding the weapons not die when the tank does, could it fix this issue?

that would be cool and save me some headache. can you adjust item hotkeys using CostomKeys override script? anyone know?
