-afk & -afkai - Dr.McNinja - 2009-04-09 Wouldnt it be nice if in -afk or -afk mode, the 'return' button wasnt in that screen-locking menu box? It would be nice if people could move their screens around to look at the game while afk or afkai, or would that be too advantageous? People DO use -afkai for reasons other than actually being away. Perhaps the box was to prevent this? If the box was removed, it could serve a double purpose as observers because a current method would invovle moving your tank every 5 minutes or ai will take over. Also, could add an [afk] or [afkai] tag to people? If you didnt see them go away, and their inventory is full, you cant tell if they are ai by looking. You can still get a borad idea of what is happening by looking at the minimap, which is not obscured. Yes you can (usually) tell if someone is away by looking, the AI-afk unit will have all of it's unsued item slots blanked out, to prevent it from purchasing anything. Re: -afk & -afkai - ChronicStoned - 2009-04-09 -i'd like to be able to change the view to (so change that box), cause often i'm just eating and cant play but i'd like to watch the others play -ai doesnt buy new stuff, cause of those blanked out itemslots but they upgrade your existing stuff which can be really annoying -the only advantage i can see by using -afkai WITHOUT the box is that you could type in commands or send gold to others or simply chatting i don't see any abusable advantages there edit: -if the ai plays well really depends on what weapons/items/tank you bought and what the enemy is doing: -the ai with 2 bows and a hull will suck against every human enemy -the ai with short range will suck against every long ranged human enemy simply because human players will trap them and then hunt them down easily, cause ai is not able to recognise when human players are evading the lines and attack them from behind |
