[8.57] Bot Cptp usage - Zirze - 2009-03-11

I apologize for not having any replays of this, but I usually don't save replays, especially vs bots.

When I've been attacking a base, sometimes when a bot is killed, and respawns, it will control point teleport to one of the front factories to get involved in the fight again. It seems unnecessary for a bot to revive, and waste 75 gold for 5 seconds of movement.

5 seconds can mean the difference between losing a factory or getting a kill. The AI just plainly isn't too intelligent, and can't figure when this is good or not. It's not really a bug, more like a stupid AI (although it's really hard to make a good AI).

Well, a teleport in your own base is definately a bug and not wanted. I even wrote something to prevent this, but the bots keep doing this. I made another attempt for next version, maybe it's working now.

I hope you mean only for bots.. and i hope you arent changing the 'own cp teleport' function.. its quite handy. No its 1337. Underrated tactic for getting closer.Big Grin
