Wulfs suggestions - WerWulf - 2009-01-17 ok i recently started playing battle tanks and decided i would come here to join the forums. i have a few suggestions that may make the game more enjoyable. first of all, possibly more maps, after a few btank games the map begins to become repetitive and new maps may solve this, even if it is a re-arange of terrain or a change of terrain type (say to snowy terrain instead of forest) secondly i have a tank suggestion. Basalisk: long range artillary $8500 tank cannon range 1500 . 50-100-150-200-250 dmg earthshaker shell range 2500. damage/stun duration 100/2-120/2.2-190/2.4-270/2.6-380/2.8-530/3 - large area effect - ground only point blank shell range 400. dmg 1000-1400-1600-1900-2200 corosive ammo passive-tank cannon upgrade. dmgpersec/sec 5/5-10/6-15/7-20/8-25/9 cluster shelling range 2000. dmg perhit/hits 200/2-240/3-280/3-330/4-390/5 -large area effect #3 tinker really comes in handy however it would really come in handy to have an advanced tinker with more health and stronger abilities #4 capture the flag gamemode: 3 flags spawn, one one each route, while carrying the flag (it is an item in your inventory) all other inventory items are disabled and you are unable to use teleport skills, the flag increases your speed by %20. flying veihcles are unable to pick up the flags or are disabled during this game. bringing a flag back to your artillary factory gives a bonus of xp & gold. aswell as an armour and weapon upgrade to your team. i know this gamemode would be hard to do but i though i would suggest it nonetheless sorry about combining 4 ideas into one post but it was much easier and i thought i would seem like a spammer if i posted 4 topics on my first day -_- Re: Wulfs suggestions - IGThf - 2009-01-17 1.) Exo is improving the terrain in almost every version, and thats enough for most of us. I really wouldn't like a totally new map (at least in the first month). 2.) Sorry, can't make an opinion on tanks... My bad. :-) 3.) Already suggested cca a week ago, most of the ppl against it. 4.) Already implemented in older versions. Never played it in the never versions, maybe because it was taken out. Don't know since I never host btanks. The old version worked in this way: 1 flag appears in the middle. When picked up, appears in inventory and on tank model. Speed reduced, teleport disabled for carrier. Then you need to take the flag to the enemy base and place it on given locations. If all locations filled with flag (5-7 I think), then game won. Interesting mod, but always ended really fast (at least where I played). Re: Wulfs suggestions - the truth - 2009-01-17 Yes! I love #2. Don't know since I never host btanks. The mode was called Bombing Run and was taken out of the game, because like 95% of the players just didn't understand how this mode worked. They always tried to play a normal game and obviously lost because of that, although I explained the mode like 3 times before the game started. So it seems like a mode, which differs too much from the normal gameplay, just doesn't fit into the game. Re: Wulfs suggestions - WerWulf - 2009-01-18 well that is fair enough, i had gathered that in games similar to btanks it would be difficult to put in ctf or bomb assaults as primary objectives, usually beacause most people are idiots when it comes to more complex games, hence giving upgrades instead of points. |
