Battle Tanks is hosted very often! - TKF - 2008-09-30
I found a site that measures how often the maps is hosted at b.net.
The interesting thing is that Battle Tanks is the 4th most hosted map on bnet today on Northrend.

personal feeling is that its quite accurate.
at least the maps that it shows in top places are the ones i would've guessed. you could test its accuracy by creating and hosting a new map thats so bad nobody will rehost it, and look if it got 1 hosted today.

atm Battle Tanks is:
4th most hosted map at Europe (415)
11th most hosted map at USeast (220)
40th most hosted map at USwest (113)
130th most hosted map at Kalimdoor (89)
This goes up and down quite often, so this is only correct with the time my post is posted.

I checked this and and I'm submitting this as a pre-ghost bot erra statistic. It's 12-26-08 right now. I am curious what this will look like on 1-26-09.
**edit** Bang is right. Btanks is biggest where it started. I'm guessing it spread from nothrend to azeroth first and then to lordaeron last.
lordaeron has a lot of english speaking people from the asian realm who refuse to use the kalimdor server. But half of them play asian maps which have titles like this :真．三國無雙 V3.7d. lol! Even dota, which is number 1 in all realms, has much smaller percentage of players in lordaeron than it does in the other realms becasue of this.
****edit again!**** i think i might edit this cause I'm looking an hour later at the clangnome websight and it now says 164 games for lordaeron today and I'm not sure if there's a certain time that I should be checking.

Apparantly it matters what time of day you look at the clangnome websight. At some times it shows the number much lower and higher for each realm. I don't know how accurate this information is but these are what I think are the highest numbers for each realm. What I had in the last post was just a snapshot. To get these numbers I took the highest 1 day values I could find in a 18 hour period. I think I cuaght the apex of all the realm's activity though. This is from a thursday night/friday morning my time. Also, I'm not sure how much the holidays are effecting these stats.

These numbers go up and down like crazy. I've seen Lordaeron go up to 480 games a day, azeroth up over 500, and kalimdor up over 300. These seem like pretty low figures but it's the highest I saw all night. One thing's for sure, btanks activity in nothrend has died a lot in the last month.

Take it monthly (30 days) (there is such an option right?). So it will be more accurate with wider range of data

Well, there's at least an option for the last 7 days. There are also graphs, which show the last 30 days, but it's difficult to get a total number of hosted games.
So here are the stats of the last seven days:
Northrend: 4071
Azeroth: 2302
Lordaeron: 1694
Kalimdor: 839

well, I think that's a good idea lance, the thirty day isn't going to be as current as the 1 day, but it'll be more accurate overall since it's not just a snapshot so i'll start doing your suggestion:

Turns out northrend btanks comunity is still growing overall, sorry for my mistake in my last post, my bad. Lordaeron grew the fastest but unless I can find more ghost bot hosters I don't think it's going to grow that much again during the next 30 days (I kicked one of clan bt's bot owners from clan bt for various reasons). We still need a Singapore bot and an aus bot to replace the one i kicked.
**edit** wtf? lol.. there are graphs? I dont' see them, how do you see the graphs?

Now choose one option of the drop down list and you get your graph. And I just noticed the 30 days option in the complete overview, where you get your total games, so it seems like the seven days stats are no longer needed.

Northrend: 978 (#3, right behind 2 DotA versions)
Azeroth: 625 (#2)
Lordareon: 632 (#7)
Kalimdor: 57 (# ...)

WOW.. usWest is about equal to usEast now.. I went from West to East because theres more on east.. Then i went back to West because of an AU hostbot.
Why is Clan BuG bot in west? promoting the game?
I think the forum needs to be promoted so more people get more involved with the game. (promote the forum more than the league)

The league automatically advertises the forum in some way.
Go to BTanks HP and you probably will go to the board too.
