looking for training - mr_danger - 2008-08-08 hey there. i'm quite new to the game so i'm looking for some practice. i already played against bots and about 10 matches in battle.net, so i could get some experience, but i would be very glad if a pro could lend me a hand and play JUST ONE match against me. pls PM me. thx! Re: looking for training - twohits - 2008-09-22 if you r on the west coast server u should come to channel clan BT, the best players of the west coast meet there on some frequent basis... so come if u want make sure u have a Btank league password...cya-round Re: looking for training - Prog - 2008-09-22 If you're on europe you can check channel clan BuG. If you're willing to improve/learn you're welcome. Re: looking for training - bangyouredead - 2008-09-24 Die noob. Pros are born. God made me specialer than you, and I also speak to God on a daily basis when I take a crap. bahahaha  Re: looking for training - Bobguydude - 2008-09-24 Every pro starts out as a noob. I highly doubt you were a pro in your first game, though I suppose everything does have a statistical probability however small it may be. If anything, at least he has more humility than you. Re: looking for training - bangyouredead - 2008-09-24 Humility was never my strong point, I'm much better at humiliating. ![]() Re: looking for training - Prog - 2008-09-24 Bobguydude Wrote:Every pro starts out as a noob. All of the people calling themselves "pro" are still noobs, but they are less likely to improve their play than the ones calling themselves noobs. Noobs can be the same, however they aren't anywhere near the top. Also, are you calling me a noob inder? i think you are confusing the meaning of pro. pro comes from professional or profession, which mean if you are "pro" in something, it is your job. you learned it, and (important) you earn your money with doing it. so obviously there isnt a single "pro" in battle tanks. there are just amateurs (amateurs are people which do something as their hobby, not as their job, or at least dont earn money with doing that). I think everyone knows that no one here is an actual professional... Re: looking for training - Prog - 2008-09-25 Quote:I think youre confusing the meaning of pro, at least as i see it. I just tried to point out that it's bad to think in categories like "pro" or "noob" about opponents and yourself, as you are less likely to notice things to learn from someone you think to be a noob and you are less likely to see your own mistakes if you think that you play good. I make this mistake myself way too often, but at least I try not to. Re: looking for training - bangyouredead - 2008-09-25 I agree with you inder, but I just think it's a little too modest to say that neither me nor you are pros...or very good amateurs in case satan has another opinion ![]() Re: looking for training - Prog - 2008-09-25 bangyouredead Wrote:I take the mindset in many areas that you are what you believe. If it's within your grasp believe you can get it, or believe youre the best and you will be... I never found this mindset to be reasonable, as it reverses my view on life in general. I rather think that you should only believe what actually is, but as you don't know what you are you need to aim on answering that question first, to know for certain what you can believe of yourself. But if this mindsets helps anyone in his/her everyday life it's of course not bad to have it, I just don't share it. Hm; I think I drifted to far from topic, so let's return to that. Re: looking for training - bangyouredead - 2008-09-25 Well, that's why I said if it's within grasp then reach for it. You're right that if I believed i was goi ng to be the president or a chess gm then that would be unreasonable. However, if youre already near whatever youre aiming for, then i thuik it's good to always believe you can be better or are better. Let's say youre number 7 ranked in btanks. If you only believe youre that good, and that 6 players are better than you, then youll stay at number 7. If you don't believe you are or can be no 1 then it wont happen... Re: looking for training - qweqqweq - 2008-09-28 i never thought i would or could be number one in lordaeron. and yet, here i am. it just happened since fido1 stopped playing here and i've got the only btanks clan here. (i'm not counting clan htp anymore as theloneninja is at this point in time inactive and that clan is now in danger of being dissbanded) i wish more ACTUAL west u.s.a. players would play here but they don't. they prefer to play in other realms where usually if they host everyone else has delay or if they don't host they have a delay. (btw bang, fido1 had 14k unspent gold when you left your game vs him. you definately did NOT win that game imo.) if you're looking for training on east coast i'd recomend clan 13t and clan btow. both are good. clan bt in lordaeron is just about as active though so i hope to see you there sometime. Re: looking for training - bangyouredead - 2008-09-29 if fido had saved up 14k then he's not very wise. In the end, I had a larger income and more cps. he also lost plenty of barricades and used a few breakers, and kills were 9-8 him. If you call that a win for fido then you need to start playing bships instead... Re: looking for training - twohits - 2008-10-09 COME TO CHANNEL CLAN HTP IF UR LOOKING FOR SOME TRAINING!!! Actually pub games skill level has grown much since I started playing the first 8.00 versions. I still remember I could pwn with just cluster rocket skill instead of single tank shot against pub noobs. Well that tactic is quite unlikely to work today. Also the fact that the BT is one of the most hosted maps in europe, only beaten by dota, Naruto: 3rd Shinobi Wars and footmen mostly.
