League Modification or Addition - xenocide85 - 2008-06-27
Hi everyone,
I love playing btanks - I've been doing it fairly heavily for several months now. One thing I've noticed on the east coast (Azeroth) is that while there are some league players, you don't see them often and if they know you're good, they're relunctant to enter their code to record a league game.
I was wondering, could you guys add some kind of 'open' league or W:L recording system for regular games? Maybe in addition to recording game wins:losses, you could also record in game K:D's and/or some in-game score record relative to other in game players.
For example, if you're familiar with the FPS counter-strike, they have online rankings for servers based off of total kills and k:d ratios. It seems like if you recorded all W:L, K:D, and scores, that each could be weighted appropriately and some kind of relative 'ladder' developed. You could also make kills or wins against really low ranking noobs worth less and the same scored against high ranking players more significant.
I think it'd be really fun to have a more unofficial ranking system and it would probably serve the purpose of establishing a more dedicated league better than the current system.

That system would be probably very hard to incorporate in addition to the actual league system, not to mention less control over those who would input games for ranking. That's my opinion though, but I think it took a great deal of efforts to create the league system in the first place.
Most BT clans in Azeroth play among their clan members. Maybe they should try to go in more public games, plus their normal clan games.

If you type -pstats while in league, your personal stats will be recorded! Also there will be 2 codes!
