The imbalance of Demontank - missing - 2008-06-25 well btanks becomes, above all 2v2 or 3v3 boring, since more and more people find out the imbalance of demon tank... since then i tried a lot of other possibility to conter this, but i cant find a way ... my suggestion is: 1. shorter distance , stun for just 1 sec or less damage 2. upgrade requirement 11 3. less life less speed Re: The imbalance of Demontank - TKF - 2008-06-26 Maybe upgrade requirement 10? Stun was reduced to 2.5 recently. Still to much? Re: The imbalance of Demontank - DerSatan - 2008-06-26 hmmm the lava shot is still the best ability in btanks i think... maybe together with infernal rain. but the demon tank is just imba because its the last tank without armor requirements. before armor requirements for tanks were introduced, the demon tank wasnt seen that often, and not imba in any way. armor requirements must effect all tanks above 3k, or no tank. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - kittyonmyfoot - 2008-06-26 Tru dat... I wouldn't bother with the demon tank if the higher tanks didn't have lvl reqs. I still don't understand why the frost infernal does. I rarely ever seen that one used before or after the lvl reqs. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - TKF - 2008-06-26 It's cuz the demon tank is better than frost robot imo. Demon shot is better than ice prison. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - horselance - 2008-06-26 In older versions I was using Ice Robot but now I cant use it. When the time Lvl 13 armor comes, I already have a Demon Tank. There is no need to sell Demon to buy a Frost Robot for 3k more hp and slightly better abilities for 8k gold... It is not an option but only a junk in game. If a tank is imba, then nerf it, dont put armor requirement. Because that does not remove imbaness. And make all tanks more expensive and remove Armor requirement. And put Tier System to tanks. Ex: No level req. Tanks: >3k tanks Level 5 : >5k Level 7: >6k Level 10: >8k Level 13: 10k Level 15: Frost Robot Level 19: Infernal Level 22: Titan I didnt think much for levels but an average given ex. And make all tanks more expensive and remove Armor requirement. armor requirements in fact are a kind of a nerf, and they can remove imbaness. but i also think that no requirements is better than partial requirements. making all tanks more expensive.... hmm... no. oO why should we destroy a really nice level of balance? horselance Wrote:And put Tier System to tanks. i think this idea is interesting (as long as you confused < and >). since we just cut 1% HP gain per level (and discuss removing the other 1%), this idea really deserves some serious thoughts i think. i dont know why you call this "tier system", but letting higher tanks require higher XP instead of armor requirements maybe got a point. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - Prog - 2008-06-26 I don't like the idea of implementing requirements for all tanks, rather remove the requirement from frost robot. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - horselance - 2008-06-26 Quote:i dont know why you call this "tier system" In fact i was going to make it 4 tiers. Light Tanks > No level req. Medium Tanks > Level 7 or 8 Heavy Tanks > Level 13 - 15 Ultra Heavy Tanks > 20+ But making more levels is better. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - xenocide85 - 2008-06-27 I've posted this idea before and I think it's still a good idea - any tank that costs more than 3k should have a team armor requirement. I don't necessarily think the demon tank is OP just for it's abilities, though they are good. However, I do think it's OP just b/c it's the best tank you can get w/o an armor req. You can just straight save and it's almost always the best investment. Re: The imbalance of Demontank - missing - 2008-06-27 the idea of lvl requirement is bullshit , because in a 2v2 or 3v3 match, the player who plays in mid has always 2 or 3 lvl more than the side players and can get a good tank like heavy tank and go on his feed tour Re: The imbalance of Demontank - horselance - 2008-06-28 Game is identical in even numbers. So enemy does the same... Demontank is convenient, not imba - qweqqweq - 2008-06-28 i don't think the demon tank is anywhere close to imba. i just really really really wish that it had an armor requirement. same thing with the earth tank. (the earth tank is possible under priced.) i used to get the frost robot all the time, i would go light tank, heavy tank, teleporter, frost robot and just pone the crap out of everyone. you're right, the demon tank's stun and aoe spells are both really awesome, but the frost robot was a way better value, even at an extra 3k. the frost robot has a stun that maybe isn't as good as the demon tanks, but i like its aoe better and it's other two abilities are way more useful than the spawn demons or banish abilities of the demon tank. now though the frost robot just doesn't seen worth it. does anyone still use the frost robot? i haven't seen anyone get it since they put an armor requirement on it? does anyone still think the frost robot's a good buy? now i just get the demon tank a lot of the time like everyone else does cause it's got a lot of hitpoints and it's got no armor requirements. it's almost getting to the point where every tank needs to have an armor requirement now i think. 'cuase having some have it and some not is always going to make that last best tank that doesn't have an armor requirement over played. not imba, just convenient. the demon tank is the circle K of the tanks right now. u just can't resist the temptation to get it 'cause of its convenience. |
