Artwork - Bob666 - 2008-02-20 Ive played around with Gimp and just wanted to show the result here http://btanks.net/m/Planet10.jpg and now, as i am posting images, here are 2 combat zone screens http://btanks.net/m/screen33.jpg http://btanks.net/m/screen34.jpg thats artwork in some way, too... i created the asphalt texture, edited some models (nuclear bomb for example) and created the terrain... there are no height differences in the terrain because the planes would act weird then... only way to fix it would be that they dont lift one wing and lower the other one when rotating, and then i thought a flat ground is better^^ perhaps some of you have some art to show, too... would be interesting^^ by the way, psycho_dmr, i hope it is okay when i use http://btanks.net/m/ for personal use, because kilu is down and the new server is not yet online Re: Artwork - psycho_dmr - 2008-02-20 should be no prob, i got enough bandwidth atm. nice try with gimp, but that planet is a bit blurry Re: Artwork - Bob666 - 2008-02-20 right, i know but i thought its quite good for the first planet i ever drawed i made another one today in about 20 minutes, quality is about the same... i didnt think its that easy to create such images^^ Re: Artwork - TKF - 2008-02-21 The topic of this thread, is really "artwork"? of pictures or similar? You planet is made from scratch? I never used Gimp, so I'm not sure what it is. Most features are the same, some are different, some are non-existent, but others don't exist in photoshop. I always regretted i am not a creative mind, would love to make things from scratch.
