Creep gold related to creep level - Ismael - 2008-02-19 Hello. A friend and I think the gold the creeps give when you kill them should be proportional to their level. Most games we have played tend to make the creeps a lousy income source in the middle game and only a minor nuisance. Perhaps they should be a bit more powerful in the latest levels. Thanks, Ismael Re: Creep gold related to creep level - RedNova - 2008-02-19 At lvl 20 and above, creeps are not teeny little insects to prey upon, they can be a major challenge to overcome, especially if the enemy is taking pro-active measures to use them. Factories, squad building (hugging the creeps from factories until 40 food), siege pack for buildings, troop commands to further boost damage and creep-based tanks (ghost tanks and guards) can prove to be the downfall of a theorically superior team. Lack of creep-only weapons, lack of AoE skills, using towers as a rampart constantly and buying only weapons for tanks is a good clue on when to start a massive creep strategy. Overall, the gold reward should not be upgraded, as later they tend to be "on-par" for the tanks players. Usually it is because one team kills the other players that they get a gold advantage (which ramps even higher as the game goes on), rather than killing more creeps (even if they were to worth more). Getting more gold that way would mean to rebalance quite a few objects. |
