New Tank Models - DOGG1 - 2007-11-11 Not sure if yous have a 3D guy... But here's a good page for design inspiration: ![]() http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2007/03/strange-tanks.html http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2007/11/strange-tanks-part-2.html Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-11 I don't know if there is a 3D guy here who can model tank models from scratch (Not as a know of). I can only modify and change existing models (eeh, very little and nothing actually). But I can make warcraft icons, which is extremely simple. [attachment=2]My BTNKtank.blp and DISBTNtank.blp is 13 kb [attachment=0][attachment=1] If I know the mappers correct, they won't increase map size unnecessary ^^ Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-11 sry for doublepost, but is there any 3D modelers who is member in this forum? I assume bob666 can at least modify 3D models. I find the portrait of antigrav quite suspicious changed (I remember that you look at it from different angle)! Someone have edited it, I'm sure of it. Re: New Tank Models - Bob666 - 2007-11-11 ive edited, yes... i also edited some particle emitters for the titan, changed the angle of the weapons of the antigrav when it was first implemented, but i am not able to create models on my own Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-11 I wondered where the green sparks did go, so you edited the emitters of the Titan. Ok... Re: New Tank Models - Bob666 - 2007-11-12 TKF Wrote:I wondered where the green sparks did go, so you edited the emitters of the Titan. Ok... they are now red and a bit smaller ( you can see it on the background image for btanks.net: http://btanks.net/v2/graphics/tankbg16.jpg ) Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-12 And the 2 firelord projectiles which is on his hands is of course added ingame with the same invisible ability the thunder tank has (he has to electro balls instead). I noticed this too. Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-17 I made a running bomb xD (Made and made, I edited Goblin sapper) Running bomb - hiveworkshop link http://www.hiveworkshop.com/resources_new/models/3845/ However still I need help for reducing filesize... (154kb) Re: New Tank Models - DerSatan - 2007-11-17 lol nice idea. if the filesize can be reduced properly its maybe a nice choice to replace the goblin sappers from the goblin tank skill, as the model is already used for the exploder. of course its not too bad to have models used for different things, but its nice to have different ones. i had a look for a possible new model for the creep zeppelin, is its model is already used by the trader and the goblin zeppelin. also i search for an alternative to the creep catapult, since i think an elven styled, wooden ballista doesnt really fit well into battle tanks. ok, we all accustumed ourselves to that, but it could be better ![]() unfortunately i didnt found a proper model for one of them :? Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-17 The purpose with this was this would be a mine type model (running trap ![]() Re: New Tank Models - DerSatan - 2007-11-17 like the starcraft spider mines. is possible, too, maybe a skill for a new tank... Re: New Tank Models - DOGG1 - 2007-11-18 TKF Wrote:The purpose with this was this would be a mine type model (running trapLOL i like this idea Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-18 If someone have good knowledge about removing the bones of 2 non-existing models without interrupting the animations + all other animating contents, it would reduce filesize to 60-70kb. But I'm not good at model editing, I can only do the easy part of scaling, resizing and creating particles. Re: New Tank Models - Bob666 - 2007-11-18 i can also remove some parts of the model, but its more luck than anything else if it works^^ if you use war3 model editor, go to the material manager, STRG+click on a part of the model and the part of the model you selected will be selected there... same for geoset manager... now, when you remove them and you are lucky, the model still works and is smaller^^ but if the model does not have so multiple materials at the places you want them, this way does not work Re: New Tank Models - DOGG1 - 2007-11-20 Just updating the thread with another non-traditional tank... the Rip Saw The webmaster is pretty silly. The video links point to files on their computer. But o've located the page with videos here. ![]() Re: New Tank Models - DOGG1 - 2007-11-23 LOL just adding to my list of fantasy battletanks vehicles: The engine comes from a Soviet T-55 tank ![]() ![]() http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/21/german-tank-bike-tops-all-others/ Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-23 I like the "subterranean" tank better ^^ Re: New Tank Models - DOGG1 - 2007-11-24 TKF Wrote:I like the "subterranean" tank better ^^You mean one of these? A formidable weapon, i must say. Re: New Tank Models - TKF - 2007-11-24 No, I didn't mean that. sry I wasn't clear enough. The Rip Saw looks a bit similar to devils tongue in TS and maybe a subterranean tank that can dig under ground could be very cool. Re: New Tank Models - DOGG1 - 2007-11-25 LOl i was joking man... I take it you meant one of these http://www.cybergooch.com/pages/tibsunarchive/flametank.htm |
