8.74 - Creeps and tower damage - AeroniumX - 2012-02-22

Each upgrade seems to give 10% increase in base hp and attack, but there is some exceptions.

1. The rocket tower have 250 base damage, but for every attack upgrade it receives 20+ damage instead of 25+.
2. The HQ laser does 79 base damage and get 6+ for each upgrade instead of 8+
3. The marines does 35 base damage, and get 3+ for each upgrade
4. The ghosts does 150 base damage, and get 20+ for each upgrade instead of 15+

That's some sharp observation right there ;) You are right, those numbers are off, I'll adjust them. If I had seen this earlier, I'd put it in the latest beta, but now it'll just be in the final version instead.

The value for the marines can't be changed by the way, you can only integer numbers there for the damage upgrades, so it would be either 3 or 4 and I think I'll stick with 3.

Now that explains partly why ghost tank creeps are so imbalanced. At the moment ghost beats heavy hands down 1:1 as well as gobo. For gobo just stay in the woods and theres nothing that can be done about it, as you can't net ghost (which means gobo can't use hammer or goblins, and wave doesn't kill ghost creeps). So ghost is basically the only "air" unit (which it isn't, but it can cross trees and so on) which can't be taken down with a net. And having a skill which upgrades over game time is dangerous anyway - guard is the only other tank to have this, and he doesn't spawn 5 of those creeps ...
