I've teleported out before he used ultimate on me and it brought him to me my question is that a bug? This happended first time to me

There is a minor delay between the cast and the actual execution of the skill. You managed to teleport away during that delay.
Yes, this is a bug and it should already be fixed (although I'm not sure if it's already in the first beta of 8.77).
