More possible Transparent Armor (Earth Robot) bugs - psycodiver - 2014-01-04

About a year ago bennie.fm told me not to skill Transparent Armor (Could have been Granite Shield) coz it doesn't give you the damage reduction.

I tried doing some searches and it doesn't seem like this was ever fixed, I could be wrong. The reason I say this is that putting skill points in it doesn't "feel" like it is reducing damage from enemy weapons. I tried testing this in a single player map myself using explosives. Explosives were doing the same damage to the Earth Robot at with lvl5 Transparent Armor as it was with no levels in the skill. Although, Transparent Armor may not be intended to reduce explosives.
Can someone confirm that this skill isn't bugged?

Also, problems still exist with the transparency thing. Going in and out of those "camoflague generators" tends to make Earth Robot lose his transparency.

Well, I just tested the skill with weapons and explosives and it reduced the damage as it should (so it also reduces damage from Explosives). I guess he was referring to Granitic Defense, but this bug had been fixed a while ago.

I know about the transparency thing. It's more tricky with the camo generators, but I'll fix it somehow.

thx exodus
I like to make sure Earth Robot is working as intended as I use it lots.

I went back and tested this for a second time using explosives.
Yes, Transparent Armor does decrease the damage.

I was basing my findings on the red number that appears above your head when you use explosives. It says 900 for small explosives regardless of how much magic resistance you have. This is not how it should work, it should inform the players of the correct amount of damage done.

Looks like Transparent Armor and the Magic Resistance from Negator Pack does not stack.

I done some tests and enemy cannon towers where doing the same damage with and without Negator Pack.

That's because cannon towers deal physical damage.
