4v4 discussion revival - gozo1985 - 2014-04-07

I decided to start a small Poll here.
There are many pros and cons about 5v5 and 4v4 - and I want to know what you think about it.
starting with some 4v4 pros:
- it worked in the last tournament
- lane and mid are more balanced
- easier to get a game full
and now some 4v4 cons:
- new for many players (other gameplay)
- more unbalanced after a drop/quit
- "less fun" becouse of less players

Since 4vs4 would be the best change to balance lanes and mid i'm ok with that to give it a try some weeks.
Or just add a bot 4vs4 ranked instead of beta? Beta not running on anymore, and I think the new version will be released soon. How about qualify + ranked 5vs5 + ranked 4vs4 (or just 4vs4 for some times)? Then we would see if people like this way and if it's possible to play this way.
You say less fun 4vs4. I don't think so. Just less fun for camper ego who want massive kills all over the game. Otherwise it could be a good thing : as we could see in the last btt : if some lanes getting outfed some mid player guys could swap. I can't count the number of games i'm playing mid and a laner ask for swap after 0-2, which if impossible from mid. 0-2 doesn't give a huge difference between lanes (I mean lanes can swap w/o problem) but from mid it's impossible to get back from that handicap of 2 kills AND more creeps. Moreover when the laner is a good one...

I already know 1 bad player on your team will be so badly exploited in 4vs4 already no were for them to hide not on lane or middle 2vs2 in 4vs4 easy for one bad player to ruin game.
1 leaver to ruin game.
Ruin fun 3vs3 middle team work and just playing with more players ,some tactics become stronger due to lack of tank diversity.
I would never play 4vs4 maybe its just cause im short-sighted but i played at least 100+ 4vs4 games in private its not the same as 5vs5.

I kinda agree with Bennie, 4v4 robs the midlane of the fun interaction of 3v3 from early on and it makes the game even more volatile with regard to single players performance/connection.
