Btanks8.65~1 - Tom-Ace - 2009-11-20 I have a quick question. I dl 2 different versions of BT from bots in the wc3 editor they are called btanks8.66, and btanks8.65~1 is there a reason for 2 versions or is it a hacked version??? I also have 8.65, 8.65~1 says it is 8.66. Re: Btanks8.65~1 - Velocity2k - 2009-11-20 You could do a hash check to find out if the maps differ (for example with MD5Checker etc.). Maybe only the name is wrong and these maps are 8.66. Re: Btanks8.65~1 - Paladon - 2009-11-20 If you have 8.65~1, it's probably hacked. The official 8.66 is 8.66 always. Re: Btanks8.65~1 - Velocity2k - 2009-11-20 Not necessarily . Do both maps (8.65, 8.65~1) say it's 8.66 or only the ~1 one?If you have a 865.w3x and someone renames any other map (for example a 8.66) to 865.w3x you will have a 865.w3x which is 8.65, one 865~1.w3x which is 8.66 and one 866.w3x which is also 8.66. I would do a hash check to see if the content of the files is identical. EDIT: Had a look @ mapgnome and epicwar and also couldn't find a fake 8.65 or 8.66. Re: Btanks8.65~1 - Vomitus - 2009-11-26 You can use one feature of Total Commander on your whole maps directory to find identical/duplicate maps. Open that directory, hit Alt+F7, go to the Advanced tab, check "Find duplicates" and "same contents", uncheck "same name". Hit Start, wait and observe results. You may click "Feed to listbox" here to manipulate found files. Screenshot |
