Suggetion about ai's

Just finished a game where i ended up with 3 AI-s against 4 humans, they seem to die a bit too much and then steal all my kills, as a result i lost, i think the AI's should be made less killstealing. They realy kill the game.

r0fl.. yes the Ai "steals" all..all of your kills...

i think you just did not Aim good enough..thats all.. the AI can not think " hey lets steal this kill" so how you want to prog it that it doesnt... :roll:

and you do not loose cause of this.. you loose cause AI always suck if you not n00b.. and when the others were 4 human..well thats the reason..

Killstealing in a way that if i have 5 flamers(Maybe even a frost laser) and the AI has multi bow or something, when the enemy gets less than 2000 lives he(the AI) uses an ability and steals my kill. Even if i try use the same technique i can't macth the timing of the AI's.

Really a minor problem... plus, if e.g. the AI would not use its abilities on low-hp enemies anymore, that might lead to a problem with enemies getting away when they could have been killed, which would be far worse than kill-stealing (without having any knowledge about how parameters for AI-behavior can be set).

i think i understand what masturbator means. I trained with AI at the very beginning of my BT playing, long time before. There is one hard thing - you got at random hit by the AI weapons. But if you are nearly in range of his 480 damage rocket and u have maybe 470 Hp - he instantly used it. The same for E- shocker of the airship and so on. You just cannot escape if they have abilities, doing enough damage, and you are just a pixel in range Big Grin . As you are defending the easy way is to heal more often, but if the humans attack, yes, you cannot stop them instant killing low HP Tanks - but i think Tribulation is right, the AI have to use its abilities, cause they maybe never use them wise if they dont use them for at least nearly killing.

Nevertheless i think its to difficult, telling the AI to use its stunning rocket and attack, if the tides of creeping waves change. To hit the right moment of attack and stun with your creep wave, while the last less enemy creeps die, is to special and depending on different situations. :wink:

Actually, the AI is scripted like that, to use its abilities when the opponent has low HP to ensure to get the kill. However, this is not the case when the AI-Difficulty is set to easy but afaik its always normal in LAI (although I'm not quite sure about it).

Can you please make theyr abilities when the enemy has about a half of his lives? If not i'm just gona have to stay away from -lai.

Why, so the ai can be even easier for you to kill? So you can guarantee that an ai won't kill you when low? That is such an asinine suggestion. A good p;ayer would never do that so why handicap the ai (which is already handicapped, btw).

-lai is a great command in the sense that in a game with leavers (most) the money remains balanced. Especially early in the game leavers have a dramatic effect on the outcome if they are not replaced by an ai.
