If I wanted to pit armies against armies and see what happens, I'd play ladder thanks. Tanks that spawn creeps at will, are massively fucking OP. Your little "fix" to Troop Command actually made it stronger, because now since Troop Command releases a couple creeps at a time AoE is rendered fucking useless. Don't get me started on what the Guardian has to do to thrive. Get some decent weapons, root, let the treants/Troop Commands go, /win. If attacked you have a constant spawn so you'll probably get the best of the exchange anyway. Actually you'll probably get the best of any exchange with anything like a Guardian or the ability to summon minions at will.

I can hardly take this map seriously anymore. If you want us to win with armies, then give us armies and scrap the tanks as if the map needed to be dumbed down anymore. /spamarmies /push /win /skill@battletanks

I have an idea to make this even more convenient. Let's just have everyone stuck as invulnerable pilots, with the ability to summon creeps at any controlled point at will, with options to upgrade and some method to deploy even more OP creeps at will. Yeah, that'll do it.

Actually I did... As I've said before, add -noarmies command if you please. Because apparently balance in this game, is the more mind-numbing lack-of-skill method you can muster, the better off you'll be if you normally suck ass. Woohoo look at the team with twice the deaths my team has yet they win because they can spawn an unstoppable flow of armies, to which the only real counter is doing the same damn thing.

The favor for unskilled newbies this map has is becoming more and more evident...

Watch, I'm gonna do an experiment. From now on, whenever I host a game of Battle Tanks, the game name won't have "Battle Tanks" in it. It will be named Battle Armies 8.27!, =BATTLEARMIES=, =BATTLE ARMIES=, Battle Armies 8.27!!!, and so on. And rightfully so, it's ridiculous how OP player-spawned creeps are.

Apparently "Feedback and Suggestions" isn't clear enough for you. My feedback I'd imagine gives you the impression I'm pissed off this map caters more and more to unskilled newbies. My suggestion I'd imagine is to remove either armies or tanks, because this map is stupid-imbalanced with both.

And the pathing for units at the base entrance is really terrible and needs to be fixed. All the creeps do is end up walking past the tower and act as a temporary meatshield due to targetting priority.

well, it is true that u can easily use mass troups again heavy tanks or towers, but either way, nearly all tanks got an AOE spell, most of them suitable to kill most or all of the troups in the casted area (or around the casting tank). moreover if u read the changelog (check below), u would see that they wont last long enough to be extremly imba or long enough usable.

btw. weapons do not rlly choose btw targets, surely they are limited (as the text say) but then, they would attack more randomly, so it doesnt matter how they move near towers. but u should know this for long now, this topic was discussed a while ago again.

so in the end, it's up to u how ur playing, if u loose agains mass troups caused by tc or reinforcements then its not the fault of the mapping team (especially exodus by now) but ur skill if u want to say so...

Nice try, but... I read the changelog long ago. Then I saw first hand that Troop Command is actually better than ever. The life expectancy of a Troop Command doesn't NEED to be long to be effective. 20 seconds is a lot of time, to do a lot of things, with very little skill involved. Defend yourself and kill enemy tanks at will, far more capable than some 2,500 gold weapon can be. By making the troops come out in four waves, one roughly every 0.5 seconds, now those with AoE are FORCED to wait on AoE otherwise there will be some creeps standing. But of course by waiting on AoE he's doing practically no damage with his weapons while getting pounded by the enemies' weapons so he's fucked anyway. In turn this means, the only effective counter to a Troop Command, is a Troop Command. Bring some more Reinforcements for an extra edge, they only have like a two second cooldown even...

Don't understand what you're trying to say, but on the subject of weapons choosing targets, it is pretty clear that weapons like the Energy Torpedo are biased in their chosen targets. Namely, they LOVE to target heroes.

Or lack thereof? Here's a replay that I think you should watch. I demonstrate very little skill whatsoever, using various sources of armies, and win 13-1. The enemy didn't have a CHANCE. So all the while they're trying, I'm just sitting there, being cool, while they get screwed over by the imbalance that is Battle Armies.

I'm saying it's not enough that armies are more potent than tanks, but they are with very little effort involved. None of that crap where I actually need to heal in between damaging their base. Just 100% push and they can't do a thing about it.

With that, I am going to host another game. Then I'm going to play as I normally do, then I'm going to play against what I predict will be at least one enemy Troop Command user. After that time, I will grab a Troop Command and show you the difference.

i agree with kenny... this game is not about the tanks anymore, its about tinkers and unit spamming and the 2 combined, cause tbh, those are the best ways to win or atleast survive and scrape enough money together to buy a uber tanks and go pwn evrything... or just let the creeps smash your opponents.

i know that the developers are just trying to get more stuff implemented and have as many viable strategies as possiple to play with, cause lets face it, a diverse game play is a better game play.

but... lately, btanks is not btanks anymore, its as kenny says battle armies, which is goddamn shame.

if i wanted to slaghter a massive amout of creeps ill go play a td, and if i wanted to control a army myself ill go play ladder...

its sad but its true, btanks is no longer btanks (this mostly only applies to puplic games, in clan games army massing is kinda rare, although upgrading is not... which ofc gives the same result, you end up fighting creeps and not tanks, which is not why i play btanks! i wanna play against players... not some goddamn critters)

sigh... i feel bad for making these negative posts, cause btanks is my favorite game, but the direction its heading i dnt like....

cause as keeny says the only real counter to massing armies/upgrading is doing that your self.. so in your oppinion your forced to play that way yourself if you face that? ... wow that makes sense!!! .... NOT!

Heavy Tank or not, my tank which can magically split into dozens of units is getting the better end of the kills, deaths, and buildings destroyed. Guess what the Guardian Tank can do alone? With adequate upgrades, and assuming their attack cooldown is exactly 1 second (which it appears to be) I am pretty much deploying a Heavy Tank with no nukes and two lasers every 20 second. Balance? Apparently so, because everyone else can do the same thing. :lol:

I haven't read the whole thread but i think i know where kenny's going.

When i'm playing as a ghost tank, i usually have troop command on me. If i am up against a heavy, i usually use my troop command, just so he can waste his rain ability. Then i spawn my ghosts, and he can't kill them because he's uses his rain already. If troops were to come out 2 at a time, i could last longer vs the heavy.

In simple terms, troop command is negated by AOE... and by putting a timer on the spawning, you have taken away that balance.

And really, remove the inability to switch tanks with an item on cooldown. What potential imbalance could result from that? Orbital Control every time you switch tanks?

Solution for spam with a free tank would be something to the effect of... Everyone starts with one wood, every tank costs one wood in addition to the regular gold price. After 60 seconds of time in-game has passed, those who have 0 wood have 1 wood.

Well I find it irritating too, but that is mostly to avoid item abuse, like you could use the troop command, and switch tank and use it again at once. Also with other ability items like teleporter.

Well I did actually in 1 game build a factory in our base with all factories intact as light force, but that was on the left upper entrance.

I like the change about the troop command giving the troops a timer, but I see that someone isn't happy about the gradual creep spawning change. I only played 1 game and did see little to it. But the factories creates permanent troops.
