Currently, techmechs can take over cps by themselves. How? They waltz right on up and place a tower there while no one is nearby. Personally, I think that in order to capture a cp, you must have to walk up to the cp yourself. This causes you to take a risk and makes it easier to sight and respond. The ability for tech mechs to buy towers should be removed so that it forces you to fight for the control points.

Actually this was intended feature AFAIK and it was intended long ago. AFAIR it was always like this:). An I think it should remain as it is.
Once we were able to capture 4 CPs while defending the base(we were playing hb conquest victory) in about 2 minutes using tech mechs, two factories and teleport:). It was fun - it's a pity I haven't seen the faces of my enemies when we did so))).
But countering this is much easier that countering any other strat. Just use your brain.

Just seems like yet another risky strategy that can have big payoffs. Of course it appears imbalanced when the teams have wildly differing players (like 2vs5) or something.
But in general, the idea of a tech mech purchasing a barricade doesn't seem too out of place. Besides, it's gotta get there first.

Agreed, this is so rare i have personally never seen it done. In fact, i have almost never seen anyone other than myself get tech mechs.
It would need very good timing and fog mode would help a lot, but then you wouldnt know where the enemy was. You could put all weapons and items on tech mech, then transfer quickly to a laser tower. Of course, you could just do this with your main tank UNLESS you have trader, not sure if trader can buy weapons on tech mech though.

I use tech mec to build tower faster but the 90hp heal is too weak at mid/end game. Can you make it increase with upgrad or money?
I am so good that I don't even need to type -rc because I never die !

Actually, we use this strat only when playing mode: -hb -cv -fog -etr. And it rarely becomes that effective as I described, maybe 1 time from 5. Or even less. Much tougher strat(while you defending base) is buy factory, tp to cp, set up factory, buy bunker and have all your team cptp to your factory. You lose nearly 20 sec on capturing cp, your enemy cannot react too fast to defend the cp(because they are near your base, assaulting) and your base wouldn't be destroyed in that 20 seconds while you capture cp. Extremely effective in -cv mode. Also, huge teamplay implication intended.

Taking a cp with your own factory is VERY effective and underrated it seems, i dont see many people doing it. In fact, apart from myself, i see it done less than people using tech mechs. Maybe once.
But then again, doing crazy things that involve higher risk like factory assault and tech mech tower-weapon loading IS more fun. It would be a lot different if i played more on northrend but i really hate the delay which sometimes exceeds bot's limits (autokick). Imo trader is the fattest assault tank ever. It could beat a titan.

I was thinking if tech mechs can be healed by a ghost tank, I would bring 11 with me and heal them continuously. Does this work?
I still think multiple tech mechs should be able to heal the same building.

But a ghost tank can heal units much faster than they can repair themselves.
