Lose Gold When you Die
#1
There are a number of reasons BTanks isn't as good as a map like DotA, but of them most glaring is that you don't lose gold when you die. I think either a flat rate or % of total gold should be deducted each time you die.

(don't get me wrong though, I love this map).

It really doesn't make any difference if you lose gold or you opponent gets gold or both happens. It's just the total gold amount in comparison that matters, so why change there anything which wouldn't be a real change in first place? If you want to increase the gold difference between players after kills: I don't like that, the difference is enough right now in my opinion.

btw: In my point of view DotA is a far worse map, even the terrain in DotA is really ugly. The reason why DotA is so popular is just that it had been quite balanced at the right time, when the competition in aos-type maps was rather underdeveloped.

In Dota you fight with claws and swords. But in BT you can fight with only weapons (or items). If you lose gold for dying, then you will not be able to catch up enemy if you die few times.
This map has a different style.
If you lose 5% ex.
When you have a tactic of waiting for a late game tank, 25k for titan ex. You sum up 20k and die 3 times. And you lose 3k gold. How will you gather that money back while you are being hunted. (of course in this logic you might not be able to gather 20k anyway...)
And BT is far better than Dota... 8) 8)

I really don't think Dota and Bt are comparable. Making Bt more liked doesn't mean making it looking more same to dota...
I am so good that I don't even need to type -rc because I never die !

I would start making BT for SC2 as one of the first maps available.
This would ensure BT can be one of the most played maps on a new system... outsmarting wc3 dotaBig Grin

You should make a simple yes/no poll if you really want to see this implemented.
As for myself, I am firmly against an additional death penalty. The loss of xp and gold while dead, and the additional xp/gold granted for the kill are enough.
Not to mention it would be a huge nerf to any exploder-based strategies

Yeah, if this gold loss on death thing was implemented in Battle Tanks I think the exploder would become practically unusable, because they'd never be able to save up any money. I vote no.
You may notice that some of my posts are somewhat disconnected in their ideas and don't really flow that well. That's because my mind drifts around like a jellyfish in a strong ocean current. You just lost the game.

YEAHA, the exploder is the knock out criteria here. Exploder saves us all - never saw it till today (multisave)Big Grin
Thanks exploder

ever heard about World of Warcraft? u want btanks in "full 3D"? :p

back to theme...
as i browsed thru the forum, i came upon this headline i seems like a good idea, then i start reading. If ppl lose gold when die, then the game wud b settled by the first 10 mins. Then the "pros" will dominate from the start, and there will b no return or turning points in the game.
Once i playd a game, and saved for frost laser, very early... we were loosing very bad, i got the frost laser, and we won the game within the hour. Very fun game, even the losers had fun.Smile Keep the money system as it is, dont mess with it!
Suit up!
