Remove the stacking heal auras?

Hey there,

since everyone's discussing now and everyone likes polls, I thought I might add another topic.

This time its about the heal auras of the factories, right now the auras of multiple factories stack, so when you stand between two of them, you'll heal twice as fast. This situation will mostly only occur in your base thatswhy only work for defensive purposes.
The idea was now, to remove this stacking (so you are only affected by one aura at a time) to make base defending more difficult and thus, games shorter (at least I hope it'll work this way).

So, what's your opinion about it?

mh.. no.. base defending isn't so easy alright now cause of the middle entrance.. and the fast healing in base give's you the chance to turn around the game.. after having lost all CP.. does not always depend on a bad Team.. sometimes it isn'T bad that you lost all ^^

and atm 90% of the puplic games are between 15 to 45 mins..
if this is to "slow" i don't know.. what is fast ? 10 mins ? well mosty after 15 to 30 mins middle has gone (lane not so important, push middle is sometimes more effectiv if you got Campers on the lane)

and with nearly balanced Teams it will always take some longer..

if you don'T have about 30 mins up to 2 hours for playing.. dont play :wink:

Especially in long games, this could shorten the games. Camping all the time in your base is also not that much fun and regardless of how entertaining a game is, 2-3 hours is way too long imo.

you could add something like a fast mode, without stacking healing auras, more gold per second, weaker tower etc.

The main reason for the very long games is the bounty formula increasement rate. Killing enemy tank gives less for the money, especially since the creeps now have incremental bounty increase over time, the tanks bounty is less profitable. Being a tinker with successful tower foothold can give you excellent creep income.


Both sides get stronger faster by creep kills, while the tank bounty is the same. The average round times (in the games I play) is about 45-75 min.

( 125 + (Tankcosts / 65 ) ) * √( ( Kills + 80 ) / ( Deaths + 80 ) )

125 + ~1.5% of tank value * Kills and deaths factor

I remember when I played the 8.15 games, they were really short. But it was sort of bad too. Feeding the enemy resulted in much short games in 8.15, than it is now in 8.41.


Removing the factories healing aura might speed up the game a little, so removing it's stacking property will be nice. Guards rooted healing doesn't stack and factories shouldn't stack either.

Also, other reasons for long games is that the teams skill level are more equal than before. I rarely see noobs playing BT nowdays...

But when creeps give more bounty, players also get better equipment so it increases tank bounties too. It helps getting better equipment faster thus a shorter game. IMO.

When tank value surpass about 5400 gold, the current bounty formula give less bounty than the old one did.

I disagree the games have become noticeable shorter with increasing creep gold. I have about the same game times as before creep gold change, they are far from 8.15 short. Everyone benefits from creeps kills in the same ways, so they grow at same rate as they kill creeps.

Well if you ask me i love long games, which are more than 1.30h.
Stacking auras are not a big variable in long game issue. May stay same or non-stack wont change many things, only if guys buy and build 3 factories in a place it is some disturbing.
I wont say "dont change" or "change"...

I don't think that the stalking heal aura is a problem.
May be should you reduce the power of healing aura of "build" factories. (66% ?)
The factories build by players should give less healing. Then the 3 stalking aura won't make the game last too long.
I am so good that I don't even need to type -rc because I never die !

Actually, they do stack. The heal aura of the Guard was only changed that way, that it wont heal another Guard. Other tanks will heal twice as fast when there are two rooted Guards near them, though.
