light force/dark force imbalance

what i report is not really a bug, neither a really imbalance in common sense.

there is a tactic that only works if you are playing the light force! i think this is pretty much against the game's intentions.


(normal mode, just from start up)

take the tinker, run to the trade master and build a laser tower on the ruin, then build a cannon tower in front of on the hill. continue tower-tinkering here to defend the laser tower.

this will work as a funny, but suitable strategy for the light force, as the laser tower attacks all the creeps that move throught the middle on the right side.

on the dark force's side, the laser tower doesnt. so its just impossible to play this strategy here.




this strategy is overall very balanced i think, even if you did not attempt to balance it in particular. while the player who is doing this strat may get much money with just a little investment, he will on the other side lack some experience and cant help on other lanes/spots.


a fixing would be nice

Do you mean that the creeps doesn't get in range for the laser tower? Or do you mean that the light force ruin have better position compared to the dark force ruin near the trade master?

it looks like the creeps of the light (upper) force are a bit stronger then the creeps from the dark force... no idea why, but because of this the two force dont fight exactly at the middle of the map -> no creeps at the light force ruin

this would be a so stupid solution. i like the tactic, its balanced (in every case not too strong) and the cannon tower would kill many creeps.

Ah I get it. When I played I rarely seen someone from the dark force buying the laser, so I've not seen this difference in action. I guess the dark force tower ruin have to be moved slighty closer to the right to balance this.

Well, I've once seen a host (-> Dark Force) playing this strategy and he earned a huge amount of money in a short time (mostly due to the fact that we only had one tank in mid ... but it worked).

yes, it may work, but still theres a huge difference between the forces

Well, I can move the Tower Ruin (and the Trade Master) a bit nearer to the mid on the side of the Dark Force.
