Battle Tanks 8.21!
#1
We did a lot of tests to find the reason for the heavy lags but until now we were not able to remove them completly. At least the lags should be reduced.

v 8.21

*Bounty now also depends on your Kill-Death-Ratio
*Death-Messages now also show the gold you got
*Reduced gold cost for Battery (500 -> 400)
*Reduced the damage, stun and cooldown of Thunder Hammer (Goblin Tank) by a 1/3
*A floating text now shows up when Exploder survives due to his skill
*When you are afk the inventory of your Tech Mech's and Tower are also filled
*Fixed the Multiboard-Icons
*Fixed the XP-Bug
*Fixed the -pstats command
*Fixed the Hyperspace Breaker
*Fixed a bug that caused Lava- and Chaos-Servants to spawn very rarely
*Own Creeps now have just as much HP as the ones of the Forces

New version rulez!:)

But...
But in some pure accident my computer lags with such strength that I nearly watch a slide show but playing a game. I've turned off all effects in game and lowered all all video parameters to end, but almost nothing changed.

So, the question is. Can you add some option to remove all those new effects you've added in this version? I appreciate your efforts and visual part of new map is great, but on slow machines we can no longer play at all.

I hope for your comprehension.

We are not really sure whats causing the lag and right now Im trying to find what the reason is. So hopefully I can remove the lag without removing all of the new effects.

For me, it seems that the command "-noweather" helps a lot to minimize the lag. Try it out!Wink

Lag is when the connection between people (eg. host and players) is bad.

Lag is not when your computer is too crap to handle the game you are playing. I think you're talking about this and that's not a problem with the map.

Mr. Kennedy is totally right, and DOGG1 shows that he has no clue how network is working...

Hmmm, ok, I'll try soon later. But! But as I said, I've turned off all effects in game video settings and I didn't see any 'weather' at all. So as I understand there is nothing to be turned off with command -noweather, but, since I don't know the internal realization of the map, I'll just try it out...

What an idiot. The weather effect is generated locally on the client machine. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the connection between players.

The only one demonstrating a lack of knowledge, is you.

synchronization between players may cause lagg, the game wants everyone to see the same so higher pc's or networks need to be slowed down for the weaker one (theres no way to make them faster as they are), but i dont think thats the cause for this heavy lagging. ^^
