listchecker hosting tool

a friend of mine (Wacken.MuD@Northrend) just suggested "listchecker" for hosting btanks games, i've tested it and it just rocks! nearly zero delay for german clients instead of about a sec via bnet!

i think i'll require lc for hosting games in the new league... but pls @ all, test it!
(at first I dont explain it more, all needed info are on the linked website - if you need help pls post it here, then we'll add these questions to the new website!)


and BENNI.FM, i know you're from NZ - pls test lc with a german host (or better, swedish, canadian or russian) and tell me your delay then, i hope you'll only have ~25ms delay - which would be awesome!

List checker's cool but if you play with it overseas it can cause the worst lag spikes ever. please don't require it.

+ listchecker allows custom names of host, like namespoofer.

hm silly pyshco hes so friendly hmm um yea when people use lc in amercia its less lagg and in europe usally cause worse lagg

We use lc for quite a long time and i think it's really good, oversea as well, as long as it is a good host as well (for example, if abelzar (don't know if i spelled him correctly) hosts with lc i can play with ~60ms ping, which is really good for the distance), with good european hosts i have like ~18ms, with makes so much more moves possible and the game more enjoyable.

lc allowes to take every nick, yea... but for the league it doenst matter, because all players joining on the webiste (and thier nicks will be there too - namespoofer dont work ^^). and SFcustomkick dont work, because you kick youself then -> gameover ;D

only problem with lc is if host hast 24hdisc the whole game is over, but thats not so much different in bnet..


the only thing we have to check is the ping problem, i'll host my games with lc in future and ask other players about thier delays.. yesterday i've played with two russian guys and the told me the delay are "very good"
