Thunder Tank stun duration - heavy tank stun duration

I know the heavy tank is really popular, but why does the heavy tank stun 0.2stun per level, which is really low at lvl3 (you are lvl 9 maybe) --> you got 0.6 sec stun.

The thunder tank, which cost 4.000 and is therefore be able to get earlier - has 1.5sec stun WITH 50 Area effect, which has a big impact if you hunt an enemy which is retreating even with creep support. - wih combination of the ultimate its quite hard to get away, partly even with a heavy tank.

Did you play with the unbugged drones from the 4.500 Gold airship against a 4.000 Thunder tank? - I played sometimes and found it annoying. - 1.5sec stun +area effect + ultimate (chain lightning) kann kill you very easy if you dont care.

I know the heavy Tank has a good ultimate with that bombs, but the thunder tank player get his tank 1.500 gold earlier and can creep better till the other gets heavy tank - so maybe has 2.000 gold more available - maybe for weapons - until the heavy of the enemy appearsSmile

I would like to see a little slower stun duration maybe 1 second, because the 50% area damage is a good bonus already.
What do the others think about ?

I think they won't nerf a rarely used tank... I personally love the Ttank but the heavy's rocket + ultimate has far greater burst damage than the lightning + chain... You can throw in the thunderstorm but then you'll have mana problems... but ya... ttank + hull is great.

If you want to point out random imbaness on rarely used tanks look at the gobby tank hammer + orbital control + shockwave... but that's neither here nor there.

Maybe all stuns must be multipleid per level. So Thunder Tank stun must be 0.3 - 0.6 - 0.9 - 1.2 - 1.5 too.

Hmmm, i think the goblin Tank cost really much in comparison to the thunder tank, and the ultimate is nearly the same like the Heavy - a bit more damage, but the impact has a little delay, so you can sometimes run away out of range - which is not so easy with the heavy Tank Bombs - you are in range or not - but "usally" you cannot dodge it.

The goblin Hammer has a great drawback, and that is the melee range. I died sometimes while I try to get near - and if I do so, the Thunder tank can stun you for 1.5 seconds - and come away again - so its difficult to use it.

The thunder strike (or whats its name) has the big advantage, that it do quite big area effect to near creeps for example, so its more than a stun. --> you do no splash damage with that Hammer :wink:

I give you also a short hint what you are comparing.

Thunder Tank - 4000
Goblin Tank - 6500 (Thunder Tank +62.5%)

Demon Tank - 10.000
Old! Infernal -15.000 (+50% Demon costs)
Sky fortress - 16.500 (+65% Demon costs)

Do you see how much better Tanks who cost more than 50% more than the other should be :mrgreen: (pls remember the 5k for orbital control)

And to the rare tanks - I try to give you a number of tanks in my last games, which must not be right. but is nearly the truth I suppose

last 15 Games (maybe in 4 or 5 days)

Thunder tank - 7-10x
Guard - 2x
Ghost Tank - 1x (that was me !)
Sky tanks - about 8
demon and scouts were not countable Big Grin

so - what is a rarely used tank ? - the guard or the ghost ... Yes
The thunder tank - not in my games, cause some scouts go fast for thunder tank


--> so I like the suggestion of horselance - 0.3, 0.6 .... and in the end 1.5 seconds stun

for goblin hammer i usually use it with a teleporter. i know it costs mana but u can avoid much dp when trying to get close to enemy. that + close range is deadly.
for HT's rocket, who actually uses it for stunning at low lvs? maybe its just me but i always use it to pick off enemies with low hp since it has 2k range.
thunder tank's stun has relatively low range and ok dp. thats its disadventage.

Hmmm, maybe I cant say directly enough what i mean ^^.

You can play thunder tank without leveling that Skill to high damage. So just level that stun one time and you have a 1.5sec stun to hunt the enemy down if he is low or to escape. - And I dont play goblin tank with teleport in the last games - I know it would improve that skills, but I need additional 2 till 3 batteries for that.

Goblin Tank lvl 13: lvl 4 Hammer 50 mana, lvl2 Shock Wave 50 Mana
Goblin Tanks natural Mana = 100 --> its perfect - so if you want to use a teleporter with 25 mana you need 30 Bonus mana, which means 4200Gold, but if you only have 2 little weapons and a little hull I think its better to spend money first an a new weapon with max 750 Range / like Ice Cannon, MG or Plasma Waves. --> then I often stand infront of the enemy base so theres no use for teleporter often - the reason is, because so many guys play scout too long and are not able to defeat the goblin if they go for hard long range.

But this should not be a post for Goblin tank, but for 1.5sec lvl 1 stun duration.

Ya... what you're saying isn't compelling... i see nothing wrong with the thundertank stun... the range is relatively short, the damage is low, and there's a slight casting delay. If you choose not to get a teleporter +3 batteries on your goblin tank then that's your choice. I personally would take the burst damage over a weapon any day.

Ghost and Guard... that's more of a problem with those tanks which is beyond the scope of this discussion ;p

Another problem with this nerf would be.

Shredder will become stronger.
He is allready often huge prob for thunder tanks, faster , can stun you too, and his tele ulti.
Sometimes you can escape with your stun but its often hard to do that. Lesser stunSad no chance against Shredder
