Please Stop Ruining This Map... HB, 80% & votekick
#1
Wow,

Ever since this map exchanged owners, it has consistently gone down hill.

1.) High Bounty (HB)
-why would you remove a popular mode of game play that MANY players enjoyed entirely from the options so that people can't even play it when they host the map (forget the retarded settings you have on your bots, that's a whole other topic...)

2.) 80% Stay or force kicked
-this is so outrageously stupid. If you internet crashes in 2 out of 10 games, you have to make a new ID. Smart.

3.) Votekick
-Feeders, generally noobs, completely ruin this game. Because there is very little penalty placed directly on oneself for dying (ie you don't lose gold when you die and teleporting is relatively cheap and doesn't become more expensive as the game goes on), the game quickly becomes all about player kills (and creep kills and buildings, but mostly player kills). If you remove the option to kick bad players, the pub games quickly become a battle of "what team more feeders" - that team of course loses. With votekick, at least you can remove the weakness from your team. Without it, your team is only as good as your lowest common denominator, and it completely removes the fun of playing.

The "kick" is just restricted in the league mode.
Also, the 80% shouldn't be a problem at all since you can a) play 11 games then in your case and b) it's just the league as well.
And about the removal of hb, we explained the reasons more than once and i am not willed to do it again now. There are various replacements included, also available in the modes.

1) Its still around, just not supported on the newer versions. This has been discussed several times before so you should just go back and read those threads.

2) No, thats not how it works. Its not on a game to game basis, its based on time spent in game.
If you're internet chrashes 1/5 games you should take a look at your internet provider or try to fix this yourself, something is obviously wrong.
80% really isnt that much, I've kept a 98%+ stay rate over the last year without even trying. People that are below 90% regularly leave games and should be punished for ruining games for others, quite simple.

3) "Without it, your team is only as good as your lowest common denominator"

This is currently how the game is balanced and how the shuffle works. 1 player feeding is usually not that big of a problem if the rest of the team knows how to deal with it and I would go as far as saying that if you cant deal with it the problem doesnt lie with him but the rest of you not being able to pull thru. Obviously its annoying and makes the game 10 times harder but its not something that totally decides the outcome.
The teams are balanced around having one "feeder" on each team and if you kick him you're giving yourself an unfair advantage versus others that play in the league. There was several players that abused this fact and kept kicking their lowest rated guy in each game in order to assure a win, something that should not be possible in a ladder setting.

But all these points has been addressed in other threads and you should take a peak in those instead.

I want to comment this too:

First of all there are only the two ranked bots with requirements. You are always free to play on other bots. You can also improve your stats on the qualify bot.
Second: only the last 20 games are taken for the calculation which means you could leave 4 of 20 games in a row directly at the beginning, 8 games in the middle, 16 games at 3/4 of the game time etc. I don't think this is a unfair requirement...
This also means you would have an average stay of 90% in the last 20 games when your internet crashes 2 times right at the beginning of the game.

Calcualtion of the average stay for player x (time is always in seconds): (sum of the time stayed in the last 20 games)/(sum of the gamelengths)

A new ID would also mean you have to play at least 10 games with it in order to join the ranked bots again.

We need those requirements on the ranked bots in order to provide "good" games with a minimum number of leavers.

as far as the 80% goes, maybe it's just something circumstantial to me... my route is spotty so my internet randomly goes out, and I need to replace my memory b/c sometimes wc3 freezes. I'm guessing if I replace my hardware it won't be an issue, so I resend this point.

the others I still back though =D

So you''re basically not addressing any of our points and you're not interested in discussing it.

Huge waste of time to even reply. Why should people listen to you if you dont listen to them?

The removal of HB removed much of the fun in this game.

The whole idea of removing HB was something of an ego problem players had. If you are being insulted by a player whom you think is less skilled in a game that basically takes no skill then you have a problem.

But what is extremely insulting is that the reasons for removing HB were purely manufactured and subjective at best. Certainly not proven worthy as we can see BTANKS today is 4x more dead than it ever was.

Yeah the old BT pros (old school) refused to play BT when hb existed, now we play bt cuz we are happy that

But the bounty in the map has increased after the removal of hb, are you not satisfied with that?
