AI weakness

Well I am sure this is a difficult thing to fix, but some of my friends discovered an interesting weakness of the AI.
If a flying tank attempts a CP capture, then runs away when the AI teleports in, they will chase that player (this is not the interesting part). However, they will continue their chase even if said player flies out of range into one of the map corners. In fact, they will simply sit and wait until that player is within range, or until another opponent attempts a CP capture. Once the point is successfully taken from them, they will immediately return to trying to get the Out-of-reach flying tank. Obviously, this doesn't hurt flying AI, but in a normal game, they will often upgrade quickly to ice robots then wait until the armor upgrade is high enough to upgrade further.

*note* I did not witness this particular bug, but rather heard about it second hand. I will not be able to quickly answer more detailed questions about it. Sorry.
