Hey guys,
I am struggling to edit the light tank model to make a new tank model for a new tank idea, but as my editing skills are really bad (never done it before), its not going that fast. So before I spend a lot more time on the model I would like to tell you of my idea.
I want to add a more creep force based tank. As at this moment the only real creep based and upgrade based tanks are the trader, the tinker and the exploder, at least these are the tanks that most often do the upgrading. But these are not real tanks.
So my suggestion is the APC (armoured personnel carrier).
As I said I am still busy with the model which will be a light tank base which is more wide and long with 6 wheels and the turrets to the side (if I’ll ever succeed) and maybe some more characteristic features.
The base profile is that of the shredder.
Cost: 3000
Speed: 300
HP: 3000
Armor: 3
As I would like to be able to take it as a starting tank.
The basics of all the skills is adding creeps into the tank to man the different weapons in the tank. This can be done just like the orc pions can go into a orc farm, at least I hope this is possible to program.
So:
Skill 1: Flamer weapon
Level 1: Add a flamer creep to the tank to man one of the flamers in the tank adding a creep based weapon to the tank of range 600 (with appropriate damage according to the damage equation and the basic tank cannon which every other tank has), this creep based weapon should be subjected to force upgrades and so become stronger per weapon upgrade level
Level 2: Upgrade the flamer to a heavy flamer (this just adds another 5% more of damage to the weapon)
Level 3: Add a second creep to the tank just as the first one, and so double the flamers in the tank as well.
Level 4: Upgrade the heavy flamers to napalm Flamers (this just adds another 5% more of damage to the weapon)
Level 5 : Upgrade the napalm flamers to heavy napalm Flamers (this just adds another 5% more of damage to the weapon)
These flamers should be based on the sides of the APC (some more editing of the model
)
Skill 2: Machine gun
Level 1: Add a Machine gunner creep to the tank to man the top machine gun this will add a 950 range weapon to the tank (similar to the flamer)
Level 2: Upgrade the Machine gun to a heavy machine gun
Level 3: Add a second Machine gunner creep to the tank, this will add a second 950 range weapon to the tank.
Level 4: Upgrading the heavy machine gun to a double barrelled heavy machine gun (adding 5% damage)
Level 5: Upgrading the rounds of the machine gun to explosive rounds (which do a 20% AoE damage per hit)
Skill 3: Rocket launcher
Level 1: Add a Balista to the tank, this will add an activatable rocket to the tank with no stun but similar to the light tank and heavy tank rocket.
Level 2: Upgrade damage
Level 3: Add stun
Level 4: Add a second ballista to the tank, lowering the cooldown of the rocket
Level 5: Upgrading damage.
Skill 4: Flak cannon
Level 1: Add a creep flyer to the tank, which adds a flak cannon to the tank attacking only flyers with range 800.
Level 2: Add damage
Level 3: Add a second flyer to the tank.
Level 4: Maybe make the weapon changable from 800 range flyer only to 1050 building only
Level 5: add damage
Ultimate skill:
Level 1: Unload 1 creep from the tank, like the troop pack (these creeps will have changed to your creeps and so add money for its kills, but you will lose half the damage for the specific weapon)
Level 2: Unload 2 creep from the tank
Level 3: Unload 3 creep from the tank
Level 4: Unload 4 creep from the tank
Level 5: Unload 5 creep from the tank
All the weapon skills will have to be subjected to the upgrade of weapons and the tank itself may be subjected to the upgrade armor (not to the +1% HP increase per level) .
There are a lot more ideas I have, but I guess this is already enough for now. Now let’s hope I can make a good model. And hopefully there is a enthusiastic mapper who wants to try and get it running
. And maybe 4 creep based skills is a little much and will make the tank a little boring.

-sniper gun
- active flamer skill (making a burning patch on the ground like the 8k sky tank) but damage based on flamer skill
- build a orc burrow with the creeps in it as a creep based tower
