I would guess ppl would find it boring with slow development when they know there is a way to make a game with faster tank and item development. Therefore they get more money faster, and therefore they get tanks and stuff faster as well, I'm not sure the games would be so much shorter though.

But earning gold slowly sounds boring too all...

I join hb games sometimes just because I want a fast development to get tanks and stash fast.
