Two quick tips about capping CPs:
if you're almost dying (or just being cautious) and there is a small posibility that one opponent could tp in before you complete, grab a reinforcement. they are both meatshield and firepower, very useful early on.
if you've just entered the enemy cp, in the later game it's almost a must to buy a barricade. it has a LOT of hp, and the enemy will build it if you won't. however, as always, make sure you're not going in for a 1v3. barricades won't help you
Another quick tip: in HB games, if you're playing shredder, it might be useful to buy net launcher if your enemy is a heli (particularly long-ranged).
