No, leaver items are supposed to drop at the Junkyard. The item ownership probably got messed up somehow. The point in the middle of the map is like a default coordinate. When something went wrong and the assignement of the coordinates is corrupt, this point in the middle of the map is used.

I couldn't watch the replay yet, but when you got the gold - where you the red player?
