Check this idea out though. Your tank could either have 2 versions, a starter model like u suggested, or just change it to this:
hit points: similiar to the titan, maybe more...
speed: I don't know, at least as fast as the titan. whatever!
price: about the same as the titan
armor: i don't know, really high!
tech requirements: lvl 25 attack and armor
You give the tank the same or similiar abilities you described except that instead of creeps getting in the thing other tank pilots have to step out of their tanks to man the other guns! They had something like that in Halo.
The thing would be pretty bad ass, fully manned it could have the power of about 3 to 6 frost lazers short range, and at the other end, long range it could have an awesome siege gun, like a gauze cannon or somthing like that.
You could disable buyer's weapons while he's in it, or you could attach them to the tank at different spots, like have item slots one and two's weapons attach to the front corners, etc... But what you'd probably want to do (if you could figure out how to make it make any sense) is have the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th guy's items be used for it though. That way it doesn't get anywhere near its full power unless u get that last passenger, making teamwork essential.
If you wanted to you could make it so that each of the 4 passengers gets an ability to use that only they can use, but only the purchaser could drive it. So maybe the guys manning the flame throwers could click an ability that would temporarily increase their flame thrower's range and power. The guy at the top could lob grenades, or aim the seige gun. You could make it so that if it takes damage random pilots die and then that part is dissabled, or you could have them all die when the tank dies. I don't know, it would be really cool though whatever you did!
The reason why it would be so cool is that if you made it right then it would require a lot of teamwork to work well. And it would be hillarious when things went badly.
I think Battle Tanks definately needs somthing like that! (unless they made voltron tigers! That would also be really cool!)
