Okay, recently as I understand it the food cost of some creeps was increased for balance reasons. However, I believe that there has been an unintended consequence that creeps fill up a player's 40 food too fast. For example, you used to be able to have 2 spawning factories and a troop command without using up your 40 food or 3 spawning factories (if the factories were placed right). Now you can barely manage 1 spawning factory and 1 advanced troop command and often with just 2 spawning factories and no troop command you will reach the 40 cap. I think that the food limit should be adjusted to take into account the balancing effect of the increase food cost of some creeps.
- One possibility would be to increase the food limit to say 50 and increase the tinker tower food cost to 10.
- I don't think that there should be a food cost associated with mortars spawned from artillery packs of advanced troop commands, and if mortars do have food then the mortars should spawn before the troop command units (this is annoying because if you have an advanced troop command and are next to a tower with say 36 food, you will be unable to spawn mortars).
- I think the food cap should be dependant on the number of players remaining, so that it is possible for a team with few remaining players can get 3 factories (ex. a team of 5 players could have 40 food each where as a team of 1 player could have 80 food).
- Another possibility would be to make it so that the troops from spawning factories don't cost food but cannot be manually controlled by players (where as troops from troop command do).

I like the food system as it is right now except the fact that summoned creeps that only exist for a limited time cost food. So, change this, Exo, and I consider it to be perfect.

I know the food costs of "big" creeps were increased because of troop tactics, but I agree now its a bit too strong. I played troop command and 2 factories - 1 on lane, one mid. I wasn´t able to use my advanced troopcommand anymore evectively

- even the mortars which I want sometimes - didn´t come

There is no unitentended consquence. That's just what was supposed to happen with the change of the food costs.

If you like to spawn more creeps, you can play Castle Fight or Civ Wars. There you can spam unlimited creeps..

just to clarify, was the intention to end the creep heavy strategy?
what if you made the tanks themselves have a food cost that is higher for larger tanks. that way tinkers, traders and, exploders can still do a creep heavy strategy, or was the whole point to keep small tanks from having a creep heavy strategy.

have you considered having 3 members each get 1 factory each? you might want to try that if you haven't. the new change seems to reward better teamwork in my opinion. i don't really think it's a big deal. it just makes playing with a bunch of noobs in a pub a little more challenging.

personally someone having 3 facts is stupid to me money wise that person gona farm everyone out easily its better to 1x for each but i think its enough food as it is to be effective

Well. You might be right when there are at least 3 Players !!!
But: I bought troop command and fighted long time in a public game. Then after leavers where on both sides it become a 2v4 fight.
Now: How shall 2 players set 3 factories in 3x 1 ???? its impossible.
Why do i Build a factoriy instead of buying a huge weapon for a 3000+ Leaver gold ? ...
Well: If you face maybe 2 demons a sky tank and a goblin tank and got a very good equipped Airship and a demon or what teammate - you got no chance to face the mass damage skills in 2vs4 in a game on 1 lane (usally mid)! So what do I do to defend the lanes ? ->>> I place 2 factories on side lanes from the leaver gold after 40-50min gameplay just to "reaplace" the last leaver a bit. Otherwise we would have got no chance, because defending 3lanes with 2 players is very difficult.
just an ice canon more for the 3000 leavergold wouldn´t have improved my fighting strenght very much with light fantastics, teleporter, Gold hull and so on... So a factory is the only chance. That I got just 1 Troop command or advanced troopcommand from the earlier gameplay was not a plan of "Spamming Troops" as all are "whining" here.
Or do you say a ghost tank with ghosts is a troops spammer, just because there is a creeps spawn because of the skill ???
Please think twice before you just say troop spammer - i rarely place spawning factories in a "normal" game - I prefer fighting with my tank :mrgreen:
But when the strategic point makes it important and forces me to plant a factory - well then I do it - has nothing to do with castle fight.
(That dont mean that I think factory tactic is boring, but the food costs increased by 60% : from 5food/wave to 8food/wave -- that is a number you cant ignore and is a bit too much IMO)
(btw: goblin Tank, skytank, Airship, heavy tank with skill ice robot or thunder tank got quiet usefull mass damage skills vs. creeps)

I do not see why an extra food item couldn't be added. Buys you +1 food up to a max of +10 (works like the battery).
An extra 10 creeps isn't going to make anything tremendously unbalanced, and allows those who want to spam troops to do so - for an additional cost.
