Reorganize the teams
#1
When a game has teams consisting of 5 and 3 players, it would be nice if there could be some sort of restructuring of these, to 4 vs 4, so balance can be achieved.

The only map where I saw this implemented was Rabbits vs Sheep, it was an automatic event that happened at the start of a new round.

I don't know if this is possible here, but, just suggesting...

You know, that the team gets gold, if someone leaves, so the one team has leavergold of two people and 4 player and the other has no leaverdolg and 4 players, too....
Sorry for my bad english^^

This autobalance feature has been suggested before, but if the mapper is going to implement it he must rework the codes since they rely on udg_Tanks[array] and not teamed groups. Much rework is needed.

There's leaver AI to prevent player reduction, but not everyone likes that. But this is how it is now.

That's because the AI is usually given a feeder to control, and it acts like a regular tank, fighting the toughest players like they were just another tank, and then feed more.

This is why you have to cover the AI to prevent it from feeding.

Wasn't there a change with the AI ? Last year I remember the AI was very strong, much better than the average player, pro-like.
I started playing again in May and the AI was dumbed down very much to the point where it got kicked every time because it became a feeder, I never even use -lai anymore, it's useless unless playing with newbies where it doesn't make a difference either way.

I was better last year than I am now, better all round at this game and playing against very talented opponents. Back then I thought the AI was strong. When I started again, after months, the AI was worthless.

The AI has always been the same. More or less it has been slightly improved over time.

Ok, if you say it is

I'll check those older versions to see what the difference is.

I see reorganizing the teams is a tough job. I guess we'll have to deal with some imbalanced matches Sad

im not sure, cauz it was 4am, and only 10 min game. friend wanted to check out what battle tanks is, so we played 2v2 vs ai. i have put 2 insane comp in game lobby.
and, i think, they were stronger than ais in normal games, after player leaves.

AI's playing style has been changed in a version (cant remember but must be 7-8 months ago). AI plays more safe and like afraid of attacking. It was more aggressive and successfull in older versions. There has been some changes which may effected its play also.

Currently ai always retreat when he gets less than 50% hp, it is really predictable, making this change sometimes would help.
I am so good that I don't even need to type -rc because I never die !

Well, not a bad suggestion for improving the AI. Make it a random number to a AI variable, and everytime this fires, pick a random number between 20-75% for next time it retreats. Or something like that. This one of the reasons why the computer feeds more.

Also the AI always is stupid enough to attack overpowered opponents and get killed instantly -> Free kills
Instead it should play VERY safe against those players.

And teleporter is a must for ai. Otherwise in late game they are slow to act and react so they can never run vs faster opponents.

Not to mention the fact that an AI doesn't move an inch when it gets back to the CP to heal, until it is back at 100%. So a pair of bombarding rockets and some movement=free kills. It needs to recognize when it is under fire at a CP, and either move back more or charge the hero.
