Level up this skill by pressing its hotkey (T) and the menu closes again after chosing level 2-4 (as if you hit Escape).

I think it's a hardcoded bug, when learning spellbook based abilities, a lagg will occur and for some other reasons, the ability learning screen tend to close by itself.
