Heya,
Question 1: Is it disabled even in singleplayer? seems not to work... just shows message: "weapon range is disabled" or something similar.
Question 2: Why is it disabled for multiplayer?

1. The command expects a parameter. If you enter no parameter, it is interpreted as 0, which disables the range indicator. Other valid value are 1 to 3.
2. It was implemented as a means to learn the game, to get a feel for it. I felt, having this indicator on, was too big a advantage. There is not really a reason to turn something like this off. It's sort of the same case, as when people complained about the Raider skills showing the player when the heal or teleport back will kick in. It was said, that something like this is what shows the skill of the player, to anticipate and get a feeling for these mechanics. So I just restricted it to singleplayer, since I felt it might help some people to start with the game. Also, as it is implemented right now, it wouldn't work in multiplayer.
