i like the new custom mode with its questioning sequence very much. nice done! but i find it a little confusing beeing a player in a game, where the host sets a custom game, because i have to read carefully what he is setting. i got 2 slightly different methods to improve that.
1) rephrase the questions
[ Starting Money]
3000
4000
5000
10000
30000
[Tank and Upgrade Levels]
1
10
20
[Tinker Mode]
Normal
No Tinker
Only Tinker
[Allow Trader?]
Yes
No
[Allow Exploder?]
Yes
No
[Disable Money- and Itemsharing?]
Yes
No
[Disable Conquest-Victory?]
Yes
No
[Enable Upgrades?]
Yes
No
[Disable Fog of War?]
Yes
No
2) Re-order the Answers
[ Starting Money]
3000
4000
5000
10000
30000
[Tank and Upgrade Levels]
1
10
20
[Tinker Mode]
Normal
No Tinker
Only Tinker
[Allow Trader?]
Yes
No
[Allow Exploder?]
Yes
No
[Allow Money- and Itemsharing?]
No
Yes
[Enable Conquest-Victory?]
No
Yes
[Enable Upgrades?]
Yes
No
[Enable Fog of War?]
No
Yes
as you can see, all normal settings are now green and custom settings are red. with both methods (which both may be slighty worse for the host to click through the boxes), the players will get a better overview of what i custom and what is normal. example:
Starting Gold has been set to 3000
Tinker Mode: No Tinker
Tank and Upgrade Levels have been set to 1
Trader has been enabled
Exploder has been disabled
Money- and Itemsharing has been enabled
Conquest-Victory has been disabled
Upgrades have been enabled
Fog of War has been enabled
i know, strange settings
, but i just wanted to point out what its like. normal settings: green, custom settings red.
just had a game where things went strange until i found out that sharing was enabled, didnt notice the green enabled at that line :?
maybe not the most important thing, but very easy to implement/change/improve
