I understand whats part of a weapon, changing damage, range, rate of fire, animation, impact effect and sound if any.
But how exactly do you build a weapon in world editor from scratch?...................
With all the weapon suggestions, I have thought for a long time, wouldnt it be easier if people could just test their own weapon ideas? not necessarily in battle tanks map since we all know its protected.
I have very little experience with world editor so as much detail please. I assume the weapon is based off copying phoneix fire and working from that but i could be wrong.
Test Map................................................................................................................................
Maybe someone could create a miniature map that replicates the battle tanks environment such as armour, buildings, enemy tanks and troops. This small map would allow testing of new stuff and suggestions without going to exo.
This test map could be made by breaking 7.55 and making the dimensions smaller (if possible).

well, even if the idea is good, do you know the real arithmetic to get all values? like setting dmg, cd and range and getting the cost?
btw, phoenix fire is the right skill for it. you just need copy'n'paste the original skill, change the values ( damage per second = 0? ), create an new item, which isn't active usable and setting its skill to the weapon skill, created before. when firing more than one projectile, just add the skill more than once. ^^
but i thought the question of how to set the skill were answered before..? ( maybe in editor help )
creating a simple testmap yourself would prove more useful when your planing to create new skills or implement new ideas. it's not that hard. ;-)

there is an exel sheet somewhere? ok, didn't know that. ( was inactive in here for a whole while )
let's see, i've got a german vers of wc3, so the names ( which i would translate now ) could be wrong.
the string in brackets is shown by CTRL+D for this language version of the editor.
Data - Damage (DataA1) - < Damage per Projectile >
Data - Damage per Second (DataB1) - < none, so > 0
Graphic - Missile Graphics (missileart) - < your wanted projectile >
Graphic - Missile Speed (missilespeed) - < speed of the projectile >
Value - Cooldown (Cool1) - < Reload/CD for weapon >
Value - Duration Hero (HeroDur1) - < none or very low, so > 0.01
Value - Duration Unit (Dur1) - < none or very low, so > 0.01
Value - Area of Effect (Area1) - < range of weapon >
Value - Targets (targs1) - < targets of the weapon, mainly > enemies,vulnerable
now just copy an item like "cloak of flames" and set the skill to the one created before. as mentioned
before, add the skill more often to include more projectiles. normally 4 projectiles is max, but there is
a way round of it, but i didn't actual tested if more projectiles would work ingame.

i'm not sure about the current version but i know with past versions you could do this. just open up battle tanks in the world editor and look at the items. they are there i think. you can make some units and put them in the terrain and then give them the items and test away.
Why's the rothchild family crest and the illuminati symbol on my 1 dollar bill? Why do rich and powerful American "christian" leaders have gay sex and worship a giant 40 foot stone owl at Beach Grove every year? Why doesn't anyone care?

Thank you saiyuki,
Yes! i forgot about this, im aware of not being able to test 7.55 without some level of unlocking.. which doesnt mean world editor is locked, my bad.
